Dewhurst releases copycat Addison commercial
Highlights Cruz’s politically incorrect client
Austin, TX — U.S. Senate candidate Gov. David Dewhurst released a new ad April 17 highlighting U.S. Senate candidate Ted Cruz’s connection to Chinese firm Shandog Linglong in its case against an American entrepreneur. But the connection, now made a campaign issue by Dewhurst, was first exposed by U.S. Senate candidate Glenn Addison six months ago.
The Addison campaign released their ad in November of last year, six months before Dewhurst, who recently decided to make it a big issue in his campaign. Addison, who calls himself a strong-on-national-sovereignty conservative, broke the news after uncovering the connection between Cruz and the Chinese conglomerate.
While par-for-the-course in the business and legal world, Cruz is in political hot water for representing the Chinese firm convicted of patent infringement against American manufacturer Jordan Fisherman. Fisherman, who took the case against Shandog Linglong for stealing blueprints for his specialty mining tires, was awarded $26 million in damages. Cruz is continuing to represent the Chinese firm in its appeal, which Cruz filed November 2012 and is still pending.
“He claims on his website that he’s fighting for America’s free market economy,” the November 2011 Addison campaign ad reads. “If that’s true, why is Ted Cruz representing a Chinese tire company. Texas Monthly reported that Ted Cruz, a well-known attorney, is representing a Chinese conglomerate in a major patent infringement case. That Chinese company has already been convicted of stealing a patent from a 73-year-old American Entrepreneur, Jordan Fishman.”
Dewhurst’s newly release ad mirrors the 2011 Addison ad.
“Lawyer Ted Cruz is helping this Chinese company put this American manufacturer out of business,” the ad reads.
The Dewhurst ad then features Fisherman speaking out against Cruz: “Ted is defending a Chinese company who stole things from an American citizen, and it’s not only from us, it’s from the people who work for us.’”
A previous attack ad on Cruz, paid for by Dewhurst Super PAC Texas Conservative Fund, quotes Cruz as saying: “Exactly what the question is here in Texas in the primary: It is whether the next senator from Texas is a strong conservative and fighter or whether the next senator’s going to be another go-along-to-get-along.”
Cruz has at least that much right, according to Addison.
“That is why Cruz is not right to represent the American people,” Addison said. “Texans want a true conservative who is going to fight for American jobs and American manufacturers, and that’s what I will do.”
Addison sees Cruz’s connection as an issue of principle and a lack of allegiance to the American job market.
“National sovereignty and a commitment to fighting for the American economy must be central to a candidate’s character,” Addison said.
Addison, who is often to the right of Cruz on many issues, is not surprised by his rival’s focus outside of America. Cruz, as well as Dewhurst and Leppert, for example, all want the United States to stay in the United Nations, according to Addison, while Addison is staunchly against it.
“My position regarding the radically anti-American United Nations can be summed up as follows: ‘The U.N. needs to get out of the U.S. and the U.S. needs to get out of the U.N.,’” Addison said.
Addison points to the U.S. Constitution for authority, something he says the other candidates do not pay much attention to.
“If it’s not in the book,” Addison said, “we’re not authorized to do it.”

DevSoul - Polar Pimp - Twigutta - Apaso - BUSY me!
I just got done writing website bio's for the entire Pola Pimp Ent. crew - PAB, Avar the Star, D1, Big Boy, Big King Feti, Bigg Cliff, Dro Zilla and DJ Ghost. They came out pretty good too. Now I am working on a touch up of the bio that Lil Pooh had on his website. There were some gramatical and sp issues and it needed to be bumped up a bit. So while he is in Corpus recording, I am here in the Tone writing. DEVSOUL was amazing at Copeland's last night. The original band was together again for one night - they have such a natural vibe together. Dev brought up a couple suprise vocalists that were fabulous, her Mother and Aunts were there, her best friends were there, Miss Rose celebrated her 70th birthday and it was the bands percussionist Jet's birthday too - so of course Dev sang an amazing Happy Birthday for them. I just remembered I have to make a list minute flier for Twigutta - and tonight - D Major and I are going to the Limelight for Apaso's album release party. I love this musical life.

Thursday April 12th I went to the Half Shell to enjoy the work of DJ Notion from Austin and the artists he had lined up. Nick Ether (soon to be released must have album mastered by Voodoo of the AuDIO FoRENSICKS) - and - Da Skumbags (Gurg SirSkum & the infamous Doc Gonzo (BuknBlas/AuDIO FoRENSICKS)..... also on this bill was San Antonio Veteran Emcee Same Diffrnc aka Relief (Supa Smash Bros/Few Music) who is a long time friend and I am a long time fan. #FREE ROYAL KING MINUS!! Lastly... there was this ATX cat named Stormshadow that performed. Look him up... he was pretty dam good.

Managing DevSoul..........
I don't know how many managers get the chance to represent someone so dynamic as Devon Wilson, lead vocalist of the DevSoul Band. Her band. Her joy, her life, her struggle. And I don't know how many of you get to have breath taking moments, I mean moments that leave you needing to remember how to gasp. I had one of those moments when Devon sang The National Anthem, a notoriously difficult song to deliver well, and Dev did it, she delivered it gracefully, with a rich tone and a touch of Soul AND she did it on Friday the 13th. Take a look at this video her mom shot.... http://youtu.be/iclanLAmYbs
