The time is now, time to re-evaluate and strip back ‘heavy’ music to its raw elements, simplify if you will. As the saying goes… sometimes less is more.
Catchy grunge grooves and metalesque beats have always fed the mischievous confines of ones soul, speed and technicality may be factors… but they are not defining characteristics.
DS.E chooses to focus on these foundations and bring a much needed fresh perspective to the heavy underground.
The first installment of the new wave comes in the form of- ARCANE SAINTS, WHITE CELL, SUBJEKTIVE, SOUTHPAW and WAKING FATE.
These five bands will be taking the stage on Oct 22nd, at the Exchange hotel located at 120 King St in Melbourne. This will be a benchmark performance for the bands, promoter and venue alike. It is the precursor to similar monthly shows that will showcase a growing seed in the minds of the ‘heavy’ music community.
It is one thing to be a link in a chain; it is something very different to start your own.
