Fan-fucking-tastic album cover art and the music gets better with age! Just the way it sounds and Chucks bloody shrieks of mutilation really create it's own "horror movie" kinda atmosphere that most horror movies can't even build let alone the majority of newer death Metal! It's savage, raw, sick, heavy, fast, thrashy and brutal! If you are a Death Metal fan this really is mandatory for your collection and even if you have to borrow it from a friend and burn it or download it you should get this classic album! Arty

Alan Moore wrote THE WATCHMEN, THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN, V FOR VENDETTA and this. and I know you know the SWAMP THING and I would like to read a SWAMP THING comic where he fights alligators, backwoods inbred deformed cannibal rednecks, Bigfoot, and other monsters and he fights none of these in this volume but he does fight a demon and a monkey king. Still though this is really good gothic horror, creepy and lonely, nightmarish and haunting. The art is a bit sloppy but works with the story and Stephen Bissette draws a great SWAMP THING almost as good as Berni Wrightson. I don't know who did the cover but it is a fucking beautiful work of art! This volume collects issues 21 - 26 and is worth the $20.00 pricetag.

I've read some bad reviews on RATTLEHEAD and I wanted to defend them. Not that they need me to do that , I'm sure these guys can defend themselves but this cd was on top of a pile of other cd's and I grabbed it to write something about it. R.H. play oldschool Metal. Mostly thrash style but not full on speedattack with rabid/deathish vocals but more mid to late 80's style. Guitarist Nick Baranov , who was a cool dude when I purchased some merch, does shout but you can understand him without the lyrics right in front of you and they have the classic Heavy Metal Hard Rock feel to them that most bands have abandoned for a harder sound. They got songs about drinking and killing/dying and on the inside of the cd they have a photo of chix holding a R.H. sticker over their tits or ass! Which is great! The cover art is comic booky depicting zombies overunning a burning Sunset Blvd. R.H. is a great live band, I've seen 'em twice and the first time lead guitarist Frances, who rips shit up on his 6 string, bought me a beer right after they finished their set! How fucking cool is that?!?! So if you get the chance to see them live do it and hang out with them to see how cool they are their music really is . Arty

I don't think D.B. is still together but they gave us this rancid disc consisting of 10 horror inspired trax of sleazy slimy Swedish Death! This could of been on Razorback but is on Relapse and from the album cover, the songtitles, to the lyrics is everything a oldschool Death Metal fan craves. If you like DEATH, AUTOPSY, CIANIDE, ENTOMBED, and REPULSION, you will like D.B! The last track "Cthuhu Fhtang!" is heavy doom n' gloom creepiness really invoking a deathskull grin and or soundtrack to a Lucio Fulci, Bruno Mattei, George Romero 1980 zombie epic!

I got this cd from the library and put it on my computer then burned it onto a cdr and I am listening to it on my dvd player as I type this review out. T.W.S are not Metal. as you know, but they are noisy, heavy, and bluesy, and Jack White screams, shouts, and hoots, like a wild monkey. The album has a wonderfully echoey, old, fuzzy sound and contains 17 songs played in about 43 minutes. I like it. Arty Flores wrote this review.
