Listened to some A.P.T.B.S while I went to pick up CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST and damn it , these guys are near perfect tuneage for the cold we've been experiencing here in San Antonio , TX , Nov 2012. So fucking crushing heaviness like a skyscrapers metal frame collapsing in on itself twisted and hugely misshapen , while the vocals are from some hip underground club/bar from Londons west end drifting through a red pin smokey neon haze , buzzing on a dark murderous nite at 2:13 AM in the morning. But they also have this new wave tender softness to them , schizophrenic and dreamlike. It's pretentious , it's too cool ,it's art for arts sake and I want their 2 other albums and A.P.T.B.S is one band I feel I have to see live one day. *arty

I bet DEROGATORY could drive a Heavy Metal stake through the sunuvabitches heart (with my help of course) with their ass slammin' Death Metal! Hailing from Pico Rivera , CA these Metal warriors have 3 songs on their reverbnation page you can check out and they're pretty fuckin' good! To me they sound like a late 80's Death/Thrash from South America that somehow got a good sound. Rhythm guitarist Christian Ordonez has a good set of pipes! He's got a cool fuckin' growl and I bet he's loud if ya saw 'em live. Some good solos from the lead guitarist as well! I really wonder how they recorded these songs cos' it has a raw sound , raw but good. There bio says they should be releasing a EP this month or the next. Maybe they'll come on down to San Antonio and play the basement of THE KOROVA? That'd be cool. Alot of really good Death and Thrash bands springin' outta Cali these days and DEROGATORY is one of 'em. *arty

These guys took everything they know and love about music and put it into FUNEROT. Death hardcore thrash punk all mashed together and sewn with barbedwire , splashed with bloody gruel and brought to life with a stainless steel tazer baton shoved up it's butt! Love the trashy lo fi sound , the not Death vocals and the sloopy speed and fastness of it all! Real shame they fuckin' broke up! FUNEROT - Invasion From The Death dimension was worth 35 slam death and 26 deathcore cd's! Natch! *arty

Well all right, what we got here is one of the best Rock N' Roll bands ever to tunnel out of the underground all the way from Sweden! Truly one of the best and most prolific in their short and storied career , they rock on with their socks on , jam a round with their pants down! Cream Of The Crap vol 1 shells out 18 trax of various split lips and rare hits and while so much material might seem daunting to some I been eating this up like Asa Akiras asshole , yum and double yum! SO much fun whether singin' along in the car or air guitaring in my room The Hellacopters were/are Rock N' Rolls unknown salvation and all the naysayers can say nay all they want while I enjoy the rock , rhythm , and payin' the dues of THE HELLACOPTERS! Terrible album cover , kinda cool name but mostly weird , forgettable album title , and guitarist/vocalizer Todd Evans used ta b in GWAR , but none of that matters cos' M.D.C rip out some quality Metal , each song barreling into the next , headstrong with gruff vocals and some good solos from Evans. Track #5 is a instrumental with some solos provided by Devin Townsend and #6 is a native American drum chanting song. MOBILE DEATH CAMP remind me a bit of older TYPE O NEGATIVE or the faster stuff and M.D.C really lay on the speed and the drums are pretty good too , it's just I wish this was louder. So it's good and Todd Evans is a pro at this and you can depend on him to do his job and make some good music , which is what he does in MOBILE DEATH CAMP. #arty

Damn , J.R.'s latest album Kill On Command is really good!! I got their first album Slaughter The Weak , and I saw them yrs ago and have since pretty much dismissed them as repetetive chug chug Death Metal. Not hip , not cool , not with it , but I saw them on tour with IMMOLATION and I think they stole the show! So I picked up the new album and it ROXXX!! J.R. just attack , attack , attack and keep coming with catchy riffs , ear crushing heaviness , and I think they've gotten faster too! It seems like JUNGLE ROT luv what they do and it really shines through their music and we as fans should return that love and support them! Check Kill On Command out , or any of their albums out if you like Death Metal and haven't given them the time of day before. Think you'll be plenty pleased! #arty

I been practicing my Dracula voice and I think it's not too bad. FLESHGORE is fucking SICK!!!!!!!! I got this from amazon.com for $4.00 and it was well worth that price. They get a massive sound on this album and the guitarist piles on and tosses exlposive fragmentation riffs into your ears that explode with titanic force in your canals! Now there is some pigsquealing and I can forgive FLESHGORE for that because they are not too prevalent and because the music is so good and for a goregrind Death band FLESHGORE mix it up and get slow and heavy and let the music breathe and go where it needs/wants to , instead of a nonstop barrage of blasting death slop. There are 9 songs and one of them is titled 'Fag End'. Not very nice FLESHGORE , not very nice at all. #arty

....and we really need another review of WOLF MOTHER. did Metal Headz accept WOLF MOTHER? I do. They used a Frank Frazetta painting for their album cover and used a even AWESOMER one than normal and ALL Frazetta paintings are AWESOME!!!! They mix Zepps and Sabbs to great effect and the guitar dude singer has a HUGE nasally wail and the bassist can do something besides finger the bass and lays down some great , solid , cool ass keyboard work! This was released in 2006 and WOLF MOTHER should've been doing a album per year since then. I see all these people wearing the IRON MAIDEN Killers t-shirt but not WOLF MOTHER tees? Fuckin' shame. There's lots of bands that Metal Headz neglect and WOLF MOTHER is one of them , lots of great heavy shit on this cd. *arty

BLITZSPEER is a killer name for a Heavy Metal band and an even better name for a thrash band but BLTZSPEER is not a thrash band ; they are a hard rock band from L.A. (I think) and played kinda sleazy , sort of heavy , not too fast , somewhat Heavy Metal and just not enuff of any of these to make them AWESOME! There are some good songs on here and BLITZSPEER is better when they get nasty and dirty with lyrics , style , and attitude but they didn't do it enuff on SAVES. They recorded a live album , and a e.p. and then promptly drove their 1966 Buick Skylark over a cliff , or got killed in a drug deal gone bad , or they might have all died from sexually transmitted diseases , or they broke up and became lawyers and politicians. BLITZSPEER is a bad ass name for a Metal band and an even better one for a thrash act. You can get BLITZSPEER SAVES for about three dollars at amazon and there is a nice photo of jesus on the cd cover. METAL! *arty
