Chicago's Outer Minds released their debut self-titled album via Southpaw. Before that, they did what pretty much every other garage band does: release a handful of singles, play approximately one billion shows, and of course, harness a 1960s psych aesthetic for their own songs. And in terms of reappropriating Nuggets, "Gimmie a Reason" is a stand-out. It starts with an echoing treble guitar solo, led by an earworm hook and brimming with energy. The song is carried by an organ, and when the chorus hits, it's all climactic stomping.

The reunited At the Drive-In played their first show in over a decade last night at Red 7 in Austin. As expected, they didn't play any new material. Now, video has surfaced from the show of the band playing Relationship of Command's "Quarantined", "Enfilade", and "One Armed Scissor".
