Just a quick review of the weekends events down at the old cock.
Stand out riot.
A loud fast paced ska punk band from manchester with fast paced riffs and an addictive brass section, currently on tour in belgium with beat the red light. They opened up the night and got the sparse crowd well and truly warmed up. If you get a chance to go and see these guys i definitely recommend them.
overweight.
A fun loving ska punk unit from europe with a great sound, things really started to warm up once these guys took to the stage..human pyramids anyone!! lots of dancing and beer flowing.
The breadchasers.
The headline act of the night were another ska punk outfit from sunny nottingham. They really got the crowd going with their fantastic old school sound mixed with a more modern twist. Whilst throwing in unexpected covers such as walk of life by dire straights it was almost impossible to not shake your ass and bust a skank to this band. If these guys are playing in a town near you then i implore you to go and see them.
