Ang rykten om spelning i USA

Ang rykten om spelning i USA! Ja, det är sant. Vi har blivit inbjudna till en festival i västra USA i början på nästa år. Det är en festival som är inne på sitt fjärde år och vi ser detta som en fantastisk möjlighet för oss att ta stärka vår fanbase och att nå ut i USA..

Men allt är ju inte "Guld och gröna ängar" utan vi måste finansiera resan själva. Så nu är det dags att ge sig ut på tiggarstråt och hitta sponsorer för resan. Detta gör bl.a. att vi kommer ha en insamling på vår spelning den 27 oktober. Alla pengar som kommer in kommer oavkortat att gå till denna satsning för att komma till USA. Vi kommer också vända oss till alla som skulle kunna tänka sig att bidra med en eller annan krona för detta. Vi räknar med att en sån här resa kommer att kosta ca 70000. Och med tanke att vi börjar från noll så är det en tuff uppgift att lyckas med. Men viljan och energin finns och tron kan ju försätta berg. Så nu kör vi!!

Live at Heart or the Swedish way of SXSW Music conference

We have been selected to perform at Live at the Heart in Örebro in September. It is an honour to be one of all these acts that perform during that weekend. We hope to get more than one slot for playing, we are looking after the possibility to perform both on Friday and Saturday. Hopefully will we and our manager establish a lot of new connections for gigs in southern Sweden. There is a tricky thing to be “the Tread in a haystack” among all bands to get in to the stages, especially when we are doing everything by our self and don´t have any support from an booking agency or promoter. We will also apply in august again for a UK-tour in the end of the year. This will be our third times chance so keep your fingers crossed. If You have any ideas, connections etc please hand them over.

What have happened since last?

What have happened since last? There has been a big focus around preparation for our most important gig ever, even bigger than when we performed at Sweden Rock Festival last year. Nordic Rock, a small two night festival with bands like John Fogerty, Hammerfall, Pretty Maids and Crucified Barbara on the stage. Other band to perform was Saint Deamon, Absorbing the Pain and Days of Jupiter. We played on Friday and were the warm up band for Hammerfall. This is the reason WHY this gig was so important - Hammerfall have a big part in the birth of Summoned Tide. Rickard was a dedicated fan to Hammerfall when he started to play guitar and start singing. The other band members were also fans to Hammerfall, but not in the same caliber as Rickard. I asked Rickard a couple of years, that IF he was headhunted to a band what should he do. He told me (MIKK) that there was only one band in the world that he could leave Summoned Tide or keep it as a side project, for and that was Hammerfall. I asked him the same question a year ago and the answer was now that he shouldn´t ever leave Summoned Tide but he could consider having Hammerfall as a side project. This Is a very well-kept secret so don´t tell anyone.

The gig went fantastic and we also get good feedback from Jocke in Hammerfall. I took the opportunity to talk with the “GODS” in their loge. I felt when I see them arrive after their gig that this was it. . I wasn´t thrown out and I thanked them for a good gig and presented Summoned Tide. I gave them STs both albums and talked a lot about the band and their history. After that it was time for a after gig party together with band members from most of the bands that performed that night.

What next? At the moment it is quite little on the agenda. We have a gig in middle of August and nothing more so far. We will apply for tour support again in august. We will go on a tour in one way or other during the fall and winter. Where and When are not answered yet, but that are not the most important right now. I work on it with from different angles and possibilities. We have finally got the Army cap with embroidery of the ST logo in store. We use the same price for cap, t-shirt and album – 100SEK + postage. Our new album will show up on Spotify and as downloadable MP3s during august-september

Who are we part 5 - Jimi "KORG" Toivanen Here will You have all necessary information about the guy behind the synth - Jimi. Jimi seems to be a shy and quiet guy if you don´t know him. (A very well kept secret about him - He is a hell of a breakdancer, especially "the Wave" and other moves on the ground // MIKK) Name : Jimi Juhani Toivanen Date of birth : 30 may 1987 Haircolor: Dark brown Eyes: Greenish Length: 180cm Legs: A little bit girlish Weight: Under progress Status : Single and living togheter with 3 other friends in the AWESOME house (collective accommodation with Mikael and Rickard in the band) Loves: Music and video games. Consumes: Pasta Current life status: Currently working with takeing care of elderly people. Band : Edguy have always been one of my favorite band, Theater of salvation is still the best album with them. Else Im listening to anything that sounds good. Would describe our genre as: We do whatever we want and that wont change. Favourite song so far: When Im live and Dreams. What can we expect from Summoned Tide? You can always expect the unexpected. We are a Great band with steady progress in our music style, we will always take a step forward to make the sound more interesting. Goal: Be one of the best bands in the world in our genre.

Who are we part 4 - in this part we want to present "AngelEye". All girls favorite, Mikael. He is a tricky and a bit odd guy with a big hard under his tough facade.

Name: Mikael Thelin Age: 23, born 1988 Hair color: Brownish Beard color: Black (Havent seen any beard yet on his face. I think he is to Young // MIKK) Eyes: Greenish I think? Length: 185cm Weight: 82kg Status: Single and I'm working with my bro as a Youth leader! Lives with: Rickard Thelin, Jimi Toivanen and Pär-Magnus Green in "Awesome House". Always fighting about the cleaning. Loves: Fishing, music, games, blankets, sleep, my family, my friends and ofc cuddling. Have to add how much I love being a slacker as well! Favorite food/drink: Chicken/Tuna salad, Lasagna.. It's a hard question to answer since I like almost everything. When it comes to drinks though I'd say: WATER, sparkling water, beer, red wine, whiskey Current life status: Chillin'! Playing the guitar and games! I'm also trying to achieve a whole new level of awesomeness by attending to the gym Band: Summoned Tide. The band means everything to me. We're as a family having fun... and fights...and everything that follows. It's an amazing experience to share everything with the people you love and to acheieve our goals with each other. The music is our cushion through hardships and it's bringing us closer and closer together. I truly love playing with them! Who are we part 3 - Nicklas the Drummer also known as NickeLilltroll. Nicke is a hell of a drummer and he uses his double-pedals like furious marathon runner

Name : Nicklas Åström Date of birth : 3 january 1988 Haircolor: Sparkling blonde Eyes: Ocean blue Length: Fucking huge! Legs: Working fine! Weight: More than Keith Richards and less than Vinnie Paul :) Status : Living together with my girlfriend Sophia here in Robertsfors. Loves: Different colours, Sophia, music, life, earth, wine, beer, my family, friends, that thing called "music", meat, cheese, blood and finally my band! Consumes: Meat, a lot of meat :) ...and really smoky whiskeys! Current life status: Works full time at a grocery store. Watching a lot of tv shows especially trivial oriented shows at the moment (you gotta get smart some way!). Playing drums, attending the gym, BBQ: ing, listening to music 24/ 7. Who are we part 2 - Today is it Jennifers turn to be portrayed in the series about who are the ones in Summoned Tide.

Name : Jennifer Sikström Date of birth : 9 january 1989 Haircolor: Dark, pretending to be blond Eyes: Mix of blue/green/something. Length: 158cm Weight: somewhere between 10 and 100 kilogram. Status: in a relationship with a boyfriend who is just about to move 700 kilometers away from me! But I have to stay in the northern parts of Sweden, because of Summoned Tide :) Lives: Just moving back to Bygdeå. With my mom, dad and little brother. How old was I again? Loves: Festivals! Such as Sweden Rock, Graspop and so on :) Loves cooking and baking (and to eat the things I create ;D) I also love the sea. I go to the seaside (my grandma's house) at least a couple of times every week. Fishing, boating.. or just walking around :) Consumes: Mostly water. But I like wine, beer, vodka, rum.. you name it. (I know/MIKK) I don't drink whiskey! Or milk! I drink coffee, even though i don't really like it. Still I always order drinks with milk and coffee when I'm out drinking. Status: single and unemployed, works as a youth leader to pay the rent.

Loves: Games and music and horror movies and fuckin-lovley-always-in-the-wa​y-of-my-diet-Ice cream!

Goal? To be remembered as one of the greatest Metal bands. Hell! Top 10 damn right!

Where do I get inspiration? From all over the world. My personal experiences, thoughts and theories. Happenings and emotions. Dreams and great artists like: Iron Maiden, Dream Theatre, Dir En Grey, Symphony X and a continuing never-ending list I will avoid to spamm.

The Bringer of the Tide will arrive this week. It was delayed from Malaysia and was stuck in Custody because lack of info to us. The next time when we have produced a new album we will start the discussion about releaseparty WHEN We got the albums. Not from when we expect to get them. Shame on Us, we will not do this mistake again.

The booking list are quite white at the moment. we have two bookings in august and are waiting for some answers during the next weeks about gigs in Gothenburg. But we are open for more gigs.
