The latest

Hey friends and fans. Let me start of by saying I truly appreciate every one of you that have supported myself and every band/project I have ever been involved with. The last two years of my life has been pretty much all about music minus house remodeling and motorcycle riding. On April 2017 I started writing and recording what would become Maybe Never. In that time I also recorded two solo releases, Before We're Dead and another that's in the can for now. I did demos for a full Maybe Never acoustic CD and the follow up to our debut. Yes I've been busy for sure. At the end of last year my lifelong friends and ex-band members from Soul Crunch asked me to fill in with Streetlight Circus after they parted ways with a member. The drummer is currently passed out on my couch. Hahahaha. The three shows we did together were great to say the least. The accolades from the Streetlight Circus fans on my performance with them made me feel great and was very humbling. They have asked me to do a few more shows and be involved in there next CD. Not living close to them has its challenges and with Maybe Never gaining ground it was a difficult decision to make. I love those guys and they are like my family. I never did like to see musicians playing in several bands, it just seemed like it watered it down. Too much of something gets old but that's just my opinion. Give them less opportunities to see you and fans might show up. If your doing it to make a living I get it...... you have to play covers and you have to play often. Its very hard to be an original musician and I'm not sure if I will every play in a cover band. I've been asked many times since moving back to the area. Trust me I have tried in the past and I got zero satisfaction out of it. I don't think its for me at least not now. We all start out that way but somewhere along the line I had to be me and doing originals was the only way. Some of you have asked why is it that I don't play solo shows. Don't think for one second that I cant play them live because I can and you will soon see for yourself. Hopefully you don't get sick of me and my music but you only live once. If that's not true I'll try to be a better being in the next. Just as long as I don't come back as an insect. We have new blood in Maybe Never and last nights show at Anthology with Talas was off the charts! Much thanks to Aaron, Maybe Never's former drummer for his hard work a dedication with helping us get the live show rolling. Maybe Never, Solo/ Cyanide Scream and Streetlight Circus will be about all I can handle for now. Considering they are somewhat alike but unique, I hope you can support them all. If not pick one maybe two. I do have one other thing that I'm mulling over that just came up so we will see where that takes me. You've heard the expression if it feels good do it. Trust me I'm going to keep doing it until someone stops me or I take my last breath because it feels more than good. This summer is going to be insane so get ready.

New band Maybe Never press release.

After many months of working behind the scenes, we are very excited to finally announce the following news! Today is officially the launch day of the debut CD for the new band MAYBE NEVER. This is a hard hitting in-your-face rock band with catchy songs and big hooks that will get you fired up and have you singing along. Since April 2017, Steve Cone (guitar) and A.D. Zimmer (bass) have been writing and recording songs while all the time searching for the perfect vocalist for the project. The search came to a halt when Jody Luce (vocals) was brought on board. In August she began laying down her vocal tracks. She contributed lyrics and some great memorable melodies. We worked diligently on all aspects of the songs together until we had a finished product we were proud of. Aaron Robinson (drums) came into the fold in January to complete the lineup. His passion and dedication has brought us to another level. Since then, we have been rehearsing and finalizing all the details to release this full-length CD which is now available on iTunes as well as Amazon Music in digital format worldwide. The physical CD is currently for sale at the House of Guitars in Rochester N.Y. as well. A CD release party will be announced at a later date, merchandise is in hand and will be available. We have some shows already lined up so you will be seeing us soon live on stage. We hope you will join us on this exciting new journey. We can't wait to get out there and PLAY for you!!

Day 4 of recording is done

On day 4 I have 2 more. My goal of 3 for the day fell a little short but that's okay Friday is another day.

Day 3 in the studio

Working hard and playing hard. 3 more tunes today. Guitars, lyrics and vocals recorded. That brings this weeks total to 9. Hopefully I can get 3 more by the end of day Thursday and move on to the next phase of recording. My voice is starting to feel the abuse just like your ears when you hear me sing but I don't care. Hahaha.

Recording Day 1

Wow time does fly when you are having fun. That's about 12 hours and one salad later. 3 new songs in the can sort of. All the rhythm guitars recorded, lyrics written and vocals completed/recorded. At this rate I should have everything I need by the end of the week. Keeping my fingers crossed.

New music update.

Hello everyone. Its been a little while since I've talked about new music. As some of you know I've been working very hard on a new project. I'm not ready to spill the beans yet but I can tell you that the CD is done and in the process of being manufactured with 14 original songs. This has been a longer than normal process for me having others involved but its also been a great learning experience during the writing and recording of this album. Being the engineer/some what of a producer I've been involved in every song from start to finish. From the first guitar idea being recorded to the final mix and artwork. Many many hours and more than you can even imagine unless you've done this before, than you have a good idea of the amount of work that goes into making and album. I approached the writing differently at times because I was not the lead vocalist. Everyone involved contributed in some way shape or form. From changing a line or word in a lyric, coming up with melodies to suggesting we take out a verse or chorus on some of the songs and yes even some of the music. I challenged and pushed the lead singer to write lyrics and come up with melodies. They took that challenge and the next morning I received an email with a lyric. That showed me they wanted to be a part of the creative process and proved to me they had the desire and passion to do this. Passion, emotion and attitude are a big part in doing original music. If you don't have it and convey that people will not believe what you play and sing. I'm excited and looking forward to playing live and having the freedom to move around and not be tied to a microphone. I'm sure some of you reading this are happy I'm not singing too. Trust me you're not not as happy as I am. Hahaha! I'm very pleased with the end result and hope that you will be too. It won't be easy starting out as a new original band but we will work hard and do our best to make sure we leave a lasting impression. I can't believe we are this close to releasing this after all this time. I kept asking myself when will this be done? When will we be able to promote it and get out and play live? Friends and fans asked when are you going to announce the band? The answer was always maybe never. That's about to change very soon. Thanks to all that have supported me and my music. I'm pretty confident that this new chapter will open a few more doors and knock you on your ass. Band name, band lineup, social media/website info, release date (physical CD's and digital) and live dates to be announced very very soon. See ya soon. S.C.
