Since 2005, Brownstone Poets has been inspiring poetry in Brooklyn. We strive to be a unique and diverse community, welcoming various literary styles and forms. We would like to thank this year’s sixty-nine reader-contributors, as well as our loyal attendees. Without their love and commitment, our reading series and this anthology would not have been possible. We’re honored to have the Himalayan poet Yuyutsu Sharma as our poet-in- residence and David Austell as this year’s guest poet. We mourn the passing of Gil Fagiani, who was a translator, essayist, short-story writer, poet, and friend, and have dedicated a section in his memory. This collection of poetry, infused with Brooklyn imagery, is our contribution to the vibrant spirit found in the Borough of Kings.

Planning on events at Park Slope, etc. Stay tuned . . .

Home Planet News Online Issue 7 submissions

Home Planet News Online Issue 7

from Frank Murphy, publisher of Home Planet News Online.

Deadline would probably be mid to late October

Hi everyone,

Home Planet News Online is now open to receive material for our next issue. We will accept good writing in Poetry, Fiction, Flash-Fiction, Non-Fiction (Memoir, Essay, Reviews, Etc.) and Artwork (Paintings, drawings, photos, etc.). I am determined to have this next issue out by mid-November.

Please (if possible) send material by email as an attachment in either Word or Page. I can also take writing from the email itself, but it is a lot easier to get it from an attachment.

This will be the first Online Issue that has neither Donald’s poetry or one of his insightful reviews. Let’s make it a great issue. Writing of reviews reminds me that I am constantly getting requests for a book to be reviewed. I have several request for this issue and if anyone of you would like more info on writing a review for us, please let us know.
