Documentation of Irregularities In Miami Salsa Awards 2013

(More To Follow) (1) Falsely claiming Telemundo would sponsor the event and Broadcast it worldwide. (September 2012) per confirmation it would not be after contact with Telemundo Jorge Station Manager and National Promotions At Network. (2) Allegedly pocketing submission fees, ticket money and pay for play arrangements made with the promoters managing the event. (3) Postponing the event on separate occasions while still advertising Ticket Sales on Bank United Site. (4) Attached dismissal letter from inside SMA Management Offices from confidential source. (5) The relocation of Lefty Perez (Event Organizer) allegedly to Orlando from Miami in the wake of controversy. (6) Bank United Position On Miami Salsa Awards 2013 Controversy? We have received numerous complaints from Latino Musicians and Ticket Buyers that the Management of the Miami Salsa Awards 2013 have allegedly stolen their submssion fees, ticket money and pay for play arrangements made with the promoters managing the event. There is no confirmation of the event actually happening other than the advertisement on your website. We have received documentation from inside former SMA management employees indicating irregularities. Our news question from Salsa Magazine and our Associates at Telemendo is "Why are tickets still being advertised by SMA Entertainment on Bank United's Site and is there legal confirmation the event is really occurring." (7) Editorial which Resulted In Threats from The Event Management. Commentary On Miami Salsa Awards Alleged Irregularities More than eight months ago we began warning musicians that the Miami Salsa Awards were corrupt. We warned musicians that their New York Allies at "New Gen Salsa" (see Walter Baez/Brice/or whatever alias he's using today) were summarily dismissed from salsamagazine.com for conspiring with bankrupt producer Harvey Averne to promise New York Orchestras a salsamagazine Award. We warned musicians about the Miami Salsa Awards and their ties to LUV BUG productions in Boston and their attempt to use payola in buying salsamagazine.com awards. We reported to Federal officials and local police in NY and Ohio of Gilbert Vazquez (Don Sonero) taped death threats to salsamagazine.com editors. And yet like fools dozens of musicians reportedly forked over money to be included in the Miami Awards. To date we have 14 complaints alleging they were ripped off for amounts ranging from $250.00 to $2000. Salsa is in worse shape than any other genre because of the sheer stupidity of performers who think that cutting corners will ensure success. I have no problem with the morons who take umbrage with what I write because no one owns me or the the contributors to our network. And I openly call for federal investigators to begin focusing on the Music Industry as was done in the eighties and start putting the individuals raping our culture by robbing our musicians behind bars. FIASCO MIAMI SALSA AWARDS

Organizers of the Miami Salsa Awards are failing to account for the money collected for the postponed event according to five separate musicians in the Stateside Salsa Industry speaking to salsamagazine.com. There are also questions about one of the event's organizers allegedly buying a property in Orlando and relocating to that city. One prominent arranger says "You can run but you can't hide" though that apparently didn't dissuade one of the principle members of the Miami Salsa Awards to make an uninvited appearance at the recent "Dia Nacional De La Salsa" in Puerto Rico by forcing himself on stage (later slinking off after his microphone was cut off.) Como. Izzy Y Yo Somos Familia.

Nuestro Patriarca Común TIENE Por sobrenombre Lamboy Sanabria.

How Izzy and I are Related. Our common patriarch is surnamed Lamboy Sanabria. He arrived from the Canary Islands in 1878 and settled in. Marcao. There were more family members in nearby in San German. (The Total Distance between San German and Maricao is 8.9 miles) Don Lamboy Sanabria married my great great grandmother surnamed Medina in San German. The couple Gave birth to my grandmother Christina Sanabria Medina Lamboy. My mother's cousin Juancho Lamboy Sanabria Medina (son of my mother's Uncle Rupert Lamboy Sanabria Medina my grandmother's brother) Continues to visit his Aunts and Lamboy Sanabria Family in Maricao. Izzy's Sanabria connection comes through being related to one of my grandmather's cousins in Maricao . My mother Ana Chaluisan says Izzy bears a striking resemblance to a cousin in question. She saw her mother's cousin frequently during her youth at Medina family outings after the Medinas relocated in Mayaguez in the early nineteen twenties. Mayaguez is only 30 miles from Maricao. We are in effect 4th/5th cousins by bloodline.

Maricao was founded on April 1, 1874 when Bernardo Collado, Julián Ayala, Francisco M. Sojo, Napoleón Pietri and Leoncio S. Martínez requested the Provincial Deputation authorization to establish an official town. It originally belonged to the district of San Germán, but they alleged the roads were too long and almost impassable. Their request made references to a parish already established in 1866. During the 19th century coffee boom, Maricao and other regions surged economically. When the spurt of coffee in the island ended by the start of the 20th century, the economic conditions deteriorated again. Many of the old plantation houses have been converted in museums to stimulate the tourism industry. While Puerto Rico still has a niche in the gourmet coffee market, the large scale coffee growing which built Maricao is no longer economically feasible.

Life is interesting.

http://blip.tv/wepawebtv/the-latin-ny-salsa-explosion-4834381 It's no secret how I feel about my family and mentor Izzy Sanabria. His open mind in getting others breaks, his contribution to the lexicon and marketing of Salsa music and creation of the first Latin Music Awards in 1975. We (the team) have been hard at work archiving and writing-filming his history for quite a while now. Our goal is simple - to create a work to ensure that his daughter have sufficient college funds. We recently were approached a Tri-State area film student to produce a documentary on Izzy's life (We get that a lot) but as it turns out he wants Izzy to pay for the production. Our answer - Mr Sanabria is an icon and innovator; if you desire to document his life for your personal gain then YOU must come up with the funds for the project as we have in designing his E-Book CD/DVD set for release in 2014. Then one day a friend pointed out that Louis looked strikingly similar to a man who had been in the news: presidential candidate Barack Obama. And that's when everything started to change for Louis, in ways he could never have expected. The story is told by Ryan Murdock, who is making a documentary film called The Audacity of Louis Ortiz. First Contact Day pays tribute to the flight of the Phoenix and the pivotal first interaction between humans and Vulcans. It occurred on April 5, 2063. That night, the Vulcan survey ship the T’Plana-Hath landed in Bozeman, Montana, after tracking the warp signature of the Phoenix. The Phoenix was the spacecraft that marked mankind’s first successful attempt at achieving warp drive. Just minutes later, a robed Vulcan, displaying the split-fingered Vulcan greeting, made the acquaintance of Dr. Zefram Cochrane, pilot of the Phoenix and inventor of warp drive. First Contact was made, and it paved the way to the formation of the United Federation of Planets. Anyone eager to discover more about First Contact and First Contact Day should watch the TOS episode “Metamorphosis,” with Glenn Corbett as Cochrane; the TNG big-screen adventure First Contact, with James Cromwell in the part (which he played again, briefly, on Enterprise); the books First Contact (the novelization of the feature) and First Frontier; and also Voyager episode “Homestead,” in which Neelix and Naomi Wildman throw a party celebrating the 315th anniversary of First Contact Day, complete with heaping portions of Cochrane’s favorite food (cheese pierogies), a classic jukebox and Tuvok flashing the Vulcan salute and speaking the legendary line, “Live long and prosper.”
