Its come to this... i purchased a glockenspiel today. i'm working on a new song which (and i don't want to give too much away) can only be described as pirate metal. you'll see soon enough. But be forewarned this song may make every other song i've done thus far look... well put it to you this way, sometimes we like a girl with small hands. this song is a girl with big ones. nuff said.

I'm working on gaining a youtube prescence. I've got five songs posted as videos on youtube. You can follow on my youtube channel, "2112JoeyD1"
the plan is to have 30 songs recorded, up on the site, and matched up with a youtube video by the end of 2012. stay tuned

So, i finished four recordings from the new studio. Learning a lot about recording as i go. i think they've gotten progressively better (and easier to finish) as i've gone. "Stones," a song about the devil tempting jesus in the desert (take this stone and turn it into bread), was posted yesterday.

I've recently finished building a recording studio in my home here in Chicago. It took some time and a lot of cash I didn't really have, but it's done. The first finished product from said studio was posted today. It is called "Pant." It's kind of a tribute to Eddie Van Halen, hope you enjoy.

I mailed out 25 copies of my CD "Redline" yesterday. They went to record labels in Chicago, Baltimore, New York, Raleigh, Toronto, London, and Germany. Next week I'll send some more out to the Texas, Tennessee region of the country.

Upon further review, I've decided that the name "Misers In Sound And Syllable " is too hard for fans to remember. So, in tribute to one of my favorite bands and one of the most infamous days in history, I give you "Bastille Day"

Yeah, thats right. We got three songs into an hour long set and we were killing it. Next thing we know, we are closing out our third song and a friend of ours comes running onto the stage to yell in my ear, "THE POLICE ARE HERE!!!!"

We got fan mail twice this week! How cool is that? Just recently we printed up 4000 business cards and have been giving them out to anyone who will give us the time of day. Our band manager Rob Crow thought it would be a good idea... looks like he was right.
Our first show is only two days away. We all think that this is moving in a good direction.

Our first show is only four days away and I couldn't be more excited. Just for the record, I plan on taking this town by storm with this first show... We've got a killer set list and I think we are going to really surprise some people.
