Excited

Here it is Wen. night and starting to get pumped up about playing this weekend. My mind is going through it's checklist; what equip do I need, is it all in working condition, is my guitar ready, etc, etc. I have been doing this for the better part of my life but I still get excited to perform for a crowd.

Back to work

Time to get busy and write some new songs. I've been very busy lately but should be caught up by the first of the week. I have many ideas running around in my brain. You know doing the music is rather easy but, writing lyrics is very hard for me..

Another Saturday

Well here we are Saturday morning, gray, cloudy, and rainy. Trying to become consienous and unfoggy. I'm working on two new songs today with a third on the back burner. You ever notice when writing a song how sometimes the tune comes to you so easy but you cant seem to come up with the lyrics. Or you have a really good idea and some lines but trying to find the right tune or groove is always just out of reach. Anyway I'm gonna try and see if a little magic will happen today while it rains.

The Thrill is Gone.

Wow, I just recorded B.B. King's The Thrill is Gone. I have always wanted to do that. Not to bad come out better than I thought. I just love this cakewalk sonar pro edition software. It really is easier to record this way and get a really decent final product. This is just cool.

Chillin

Here it is Friday night. Things are kind of slow as July winds down. It has been an eventful month. I'm in the process of writing and recording some new songs, things are going pretty good. I hope to have them up in the next two weeks...

Old fashioned party..

Just got thru playing an old fashion party.. It was good. They had bar-b-que, beer, liquor, and other stuff and everyone was cool and had a great time. And we rocked out for awhile.. Its good to play for really cool folks....

GREAT PARTY!

Man had a fantastic birthday party. Had about 60 folks there, all musicians showed up with instruments and jammed. Had two complete drum kits up and being played at the same time, I now know what it feels like to play like the allman brothers, Got the cops called on us for being too loud. Man you just can't have a better night....

PAYING DUES

MAN WHAT A NITE. PLAYED LAST NITE IN THE MOST PAIN I'VE FELT IN A LONG TIME. THE DAY BEFORE I TORE MY ROTATOR CUFF IN MY RIGHT SHOULDER. COULDN'T EVEN LIFT IT TO PUT MY OWN GUITAR ON. THEN ON THE WAY TO THE GIG, I STOPPED AND GOT A PAYDAY CANDY BAR, AND IT BROKE ON OF MY TEETH OFF. BUT WITH THE HELP OF GOODIES POWDER, MADE IT THRU THE GIG WITH A SMILE. FEEL REAL ROUGH TODAY THOUGH..

I know what you mean! I tore my right rotator too. I can lift some but not out sideways. But I can't complain. My drummer (son) is totally blind and my bass player is dying of cancer. So we are tearing it up this summer - played a great biker rally last week.

Great tunes - I'm moving to NC soon and will be looking for you. Have a good summer - Tom from Montana

Man its hott!!!!

Hey folks, hope your staying cool somehow. It got to about 100 yesterday. I went to turn on the A/C and of course it didn't work. But just turned on some fans and played my guitar, it always gets me thru...

July 2 here in Montana. High temp was 62. Fishing was lousy.

Monday blues.

Here is Monday again and it's raining, people are dying, and oil is destroying the gulf of Mexico. Funny thing is all focus seems to be on who's fault it was, and how much is spilling. You don't hear much on them stopping it. Everybody try and have a good day.
