In addition to other benefits, winners of this award will have their music secured within the Akademia Vault to be protected for thousands of years, as well as having their name permanently etched in silver on the Akademia Hall of Titans stage in Diamond City. This is a significant accomplishment to be selected out of so many contenders from all around the world.

“Rappin’ Rumba” aka “Street Love” written, performed and Produced by NM’s Award Winning Artist’s, Hip Hop Rapper Ryzhun ThaRealest and Guitarist Wayne Wesley Johnson is soon to be released on the Wannadu Music label. The single also features Special guest Artist / co-writer, Colorado Springs Saxophonist Tony Exum Jr II, who Wayne met when they shared a stage at Genuine Jazz & Wine Festival in Copper Mountain, CO a few years ago. The two became friends and Wayne and Ryzhun invited Tony to join in on this project and he gracefully accepted.
Other artists joining us on this recording are vocalist, Patricia Marie Oliver, Bassist Yosmel Montejo, and Latin Percussionist/Drummers Miguel Escuriola and Jose Martinez. Lots of great tracking and lots of fun. The project has been long in the making and the timing is right.
This new single is now in mixdown and soon to be mastered and released. NMMA Award Winning Engineer Dave Heidt of Rt. 66 Studios in Bernalillo, NM is working his magic on a few different versions of this creative and unique new single which blends elements of rap, with Jazzamenco tm, Smooth Jazz, and R&B. We are looking forward to releasing a potentially Award Winning product. More details to follow soon. Think Grammy!
