Been awhile hasn't it! Really drooped the ball here didn't I. Oops, My bad... Sorry.
But quite a bit has been happening since we last spoke. For instance, SwitchGear will be at the Kemptville Ribfest on June 15th. We will be headlining that spot from 9pm till 10 30. Gonna be a great outdoor show!
On June 22nd, we will be sharing the stage with CCMA group Emerson Drive at the Maxville Fair. Excited to get to open for them. They have some super great songs like "She's my Kind of Crazy" and many more.
SwitchGear's summer is shaping up to be awesome. Week after week of fun outdoor summer shows. Perfect time to get out, crack a cold one and enjoy the music.
Just a couple of things have changed over the months... Nothing major or rumor-inducing, just some new material and a slight change in our overall tone... I think y'all would like it. Kerosene went to a Fender Vintage 68 tube amp and classic pedal board....and I gotta tell ya, it sounds sweet. A la warm country tones! Kerosene and Scotty are getting their amps to really complement even more so for the new shows and Scotty has his Tele out.
Had drum work done myself. With a lot of hard work from Rene Martin and King Street Percussion, got the kit summer ready. Sounds booming now. (Thunder strike!)
Went with Aquarian Studio X's on the snare and toms and Impact II on the kick. switched from felt beaters on the kick pedals to wood beaters... holy crap, it's awesome! Aslo we re demoing up a few new songs in the background. So, as they re ready we ll be putting out new material, hoping ot get one good smokin tune out this summer.
I know I said that quite a bit has happened since the last note I left, But I would end up writing a 600 page blog. Stay tuned for July, A lot is coming up then as well.

New Years Eve Party with The Winston Marley band and The Switchgear Live plus a dj doors open at 8 at the salons in the Civic Complex !Tickets are $15 for one or 2 for $25 they can be purchased form the band or at The Cornwall River Kings Games and office!This should be a great night of music!!

The independently released debut CD entitled “Country in the City” is available through digital distribution on the major online retailers such as itunes, Emusic, CD Baby, Bandcamp and Reverbnation. You can also pickup a CD at one of our shows in person at the merch table. Time to get some attention of record labels!

What can we say about one of our favorite places to play, LA Maison Ontario, Canada on May 5, 2012. It's always a blast. This will be our third time at the venue and Just like a fine wine the audiences and performances keep getting better and better. We're going to make it a fun exciting atmosphere and a great experience to all the fans who come out to join us. Leave your cares at home and come on out for a rocking Switchgear time. From the moment we hits the stage until that final bow and the throwing of guitar picks, drumsticks and wrist bands into the crowd, let's get this party started!
In other news we just met with the Sean our Video grapher for our single With Her Boots On! as the first single from the album. Gonna be a good one. Looking at a June timeline to have it done.

We re looking to do a whole lot more of them next summer. We played on Canada day and what a great way to honour your home land. The album is nearing completion and it comes out October 31st!! You can pre order one now!! The album is called "Full Throttle" and that's what we re all about. Giving it our all and going full sped ahead. Kicking Off the Summer
Hello guys!!
