"Dunes": shaped by the whims of wind, water and time, no dune is ever the same the next time you see it; the lovely flowers and happy, darting birds make the sand seem to have a playful life of its own – ah, the stories a dune could tell of time from the glaciers of thousands of years ago up to the present and into infinity – ah, the stories you’ll tell of the sights and sounds of my beautiful Provincetown!

In my musical mood painting "Cascades" I've tried to evoke the beautiful sights and sounds of a series of lovely streams and waterfalls cascading down a mountainside, and culminating in one huge, pounding waterfall. Hopefully you can hear the driving rain falling at the beginning, propelling the water on its circuitous journey, and the mist rising from the powerful falls at the end of the composition. There are several distinct and recurring musical themes evolving in the piece, each one crafted to flow into the next, and representing alternately the patterns of the rain, the journey of the stream, the mercurial weather, and the various textures of the cascades.
