So why should you get your Wild Wild West Fest Passes Early?

Spring is right around the corner and so is the new Wild Wild West Fest Live Music and Arts Festival scheduled for April 25-27, 2014 for which 8 Minutes to Burn is the host band.

Andres Amador, the Earthscape Artist whose beach sand drawing recently went viral was announced as the headlining Artist.

Headlining the Consciousness Program will be Lorenzo Hagerty, who will be facilitating the first ever live session of The Psychedelic Salon and the Sustainability Headliner will be Jeff Stein, Architect at Arcosanti; Arizona's urban community laboratory that focuses on innovative design, community, and environmental accountability.

Guitar Virtuoso Stanley Jordan will be headlining the festival with his mix of classical and jam band style. He made a huge splash at Jam Cruise the last couple of years and equally kick ass guest appearances with Umphrey's Magee at McDowell Mountain Music Fest and with String Cheese Incident in Flagstaff last year.

He is one of two national headlining acts along with a number regional local acts in the lineup.

Tickets are on sale now at the Early Bird Price of just $30. That's just $10 a day for a 3-day camp out with music, art, sustainability education, consciousness workshops, and lots of yoga teachings.

8 Minutes To Burn Announces The Wild Wild West Fest Live Music & Arts Festival

Have you ever wondered what the United States would be like if the era of Tombstone, Bisbee, Jesse James, and John Dillinger was still the mode of existence today?

Being from the Southwest, where there are reminders everywhere, we wonder about that prospect everyday and here is your chance to bring that wonder to life!

Om August 23, 2013, 8 MINUTES TO BURN announced that we would be hosting The Wild Wild West Fest Live Music & Arts Festival. After breaking into the festival scene at the beginning of 2013 with an appearance at 7th Annual Gem & Jam, we hit the ground running with a tour across the southwestern U.S. which has brought us in contact with a number of musicians we want to share with our hometown community.

Since then we have been invited to play with some legendary bands like the Skatalites in September and we are looking forward to playing and sharing our music on stage with some even more incredibly talented people at the beginning of the new year.

The desire to share the music we have experienced with our friends and family led us to create The Wild Wild West Fest, which will feature live musicians from all over Arizona and from many other parts of the country. We have invited a few special guests from our recent tour and members of the ReverbNation community will be able to submit for two available slots as well.

As its gets closer to the festival, which is taking place during the weekend of April 25-27, 2014, we encourage you to connect with us via our social media or contact LTB Booking & Promotions on Facebook if you are interested in a offering your gift at The Wild Wild West Fest.

We Love You Party People!

8 Minutes To Burn Extends Electric Li-Ion Trax Remix Contest

By popular demand, 8 Minutes To Burn is extending the Electric Li-Ion Trax Remix Contest into the summer months with an anticipated decision on a winner to be announced on September 6, 2013.

Earlier this year, 8 Minutes To Burn in conjunction with a Spring Promotional Tour teamed up with AZOverload.com, the Internet Radio station dedicated to supporting Arizona-based artists and KXCI Electric Feel DJ Toby Roberts to challenge DJs and Producers to create a remix featuring sixteen trax of the 8M2B release of “Electric Li-Ion” that was recorded live in December 2012 at The Bisbee Royale.

This is the first time that 8 Minutes To Burn has made originally produced live recorded tracks available to the public, and has pledged to use the best re-mix as the soundtrack of the video to accompany the single release and the four runner-up re-mixes as b-side tracks on the CD version of single, with the hopes of helping boost the careers of other aspiring music talent.

The Top five remixes will be released on the Independent Record Label that 8 Minutes To Burn is currently negotiating for the single release.

The top remix submissions will also receive 8 Minutes To Burn Merchandise, a show billing with 8 Minutes To Burn, a feature on AZOverload.com, an interview with DJ Toby Roberts, and other gifts and prizes to be announced.

The contest has been extended into the summer with a new submission deadline of August 6, 2013.

8M2B Electric Li-Ion Trax Remix Contest Stages

Official Contest Stages

1. April 8 - 14: Download/Registration Stage – The 16 tracks may be downloaded for FREE by registering at AZOverload.com or any contest radio partners. Tracks can only be downloaded after proper registration is completed. Registration requires a legal name, stage name, legal address, a contact phone number, a ReverbNation or Sound/Party/Mix Cloud Profile URL, and a signed professional release.

2. April 15 - 28: Upload/Submission Stage – Upload your remix to www.azoverload.com or any contest radio partner. 8 Minutes To Burn, AZOverload, and contest radio partners will select re-mixes from those uploaded to get airplay during the Airplay/Voting Stage of the contest.

So participants are encouraged to submit early.

Fun at the Hippie Fest!

What a blast we had at the Local Love Hippie Fest! It was great to share the stage with Funky Bonz, Carlos Arzate and The Kind Souls, The Tryst, and Top Dead Center.

We are proud to be from Tucson, which we believe has one of the most awesome collaborative music scenes in the country right now and that was evident with the Fire On The Mountain encore super jam.

Thanks for the Local Love promoters for bringing us all together and providing the local bands a chance to hit the stage of the best venue in town.

Looking forward to doing it all again sometime soon.

It's not too often bands get to share the stage with some of the local bands that helped motivate them.

We are excited to share the stage with Top Dead Center, The Tryst, and Funky Bonz, all of which are some of the Tucson bands that have inspired us to move forward in our recent developments.

This show is for the family and friends in Tucson who have supported local musicians forever.

As the city changes and it feels like our chances to express ourselves are dwindling, shows like these have to surface and thrive to keep the music going.

Come out and support the local music scene.

Thanks to The Rialto for hosting!
