I just spent a few hours recording basic tracks for 5 new songs with three great guys, Brian Sandlin, Lou Cataldo and David Coate. The session went great! Three hours, five songs, badda bing! Now comes the fun part .. overdubs! So grateful on this 12th day of July, 2016, to have music as my constant companion and amazing musicians to work with! Thank you God!

I was out front gardening and the Obama brigade showed up, out for an afternoon ride on the bike path. So I stood in my yard and watched him ride by. He said "hello everybody" and I said "hello" back. Now I'm going back outside to garden. I wonder what will happen next.

Today is the four-year anniversary of my dive into The Trinity River in Fort Worth, Texas, where I saved a drowning 8-year-old boy named Rucibel Martinez. Happy 12-year-old Birthday Rucibel!!!

Day 4 of nothing but green smoothies and one small evening meal and ... my seemingly chronic stomach pains have all but disappeared! Today's Tuesday Smoothie of the Day is: chard, kale. spinach, garlic, ginger, watermelon, strawberries. red pepper, nectarine, plum ... yum!!!

Today's Recording Session
