Feeling like Spring

It’s spring!!! I know I’m late… but it’s finally beginning to FEEL like spring (Yippy!!!) But isn’t that just like feelings? They are either too early or running to catch up with what already is. As spring, springs into bloom I’m reminded that just because I feel a thing (sad, lonely, frustrated, etc.) doesn’t mean that’s who I am. Don’t get me wrong feelings are important. They are like a thermometer that tells you whether you’re running a temperature or not. But the thermometer, like a feeling, is not the cure to the problem… just in indicator there maybe one. This spring I remember no matter how I feel that I’m an over-comer, I’m compassionate, I’m strong. I hope this spring you remember that you’re all these things and more. And if you forget, come catch me at one of my shows. I’ll be happy to give you good music to remind you ;O) Much love- Paula and no matter what you do... be FEARLESS!!!

New Year - Fear or Faith

I sit here taking a short break from my house cleaning as I rush to finish clearing out closets, cabinets, and cupboards before 2012 expires. And as I do I realize I'm not only making room in my home, I'm making room in my heart for faith to grow. One thing I've learned in 2012 is that "Faith doesn't grow in a house of certainty." (I read this in a book called The Shack by William P. Young. ) How true is that! Like a farmer I clear the ground, and cultivate the soil as an act of faith that what I've planted will grow. Even if I'm not sure how it will turn out. Still I HOPE. I read that there are brand new mercies every morning. The kicker is it's up to us to receive them. So I throw out broken relationships, unproductive habits, and muddied mindsets in the hope of growing the life I want. As 2013 rolls around I hope you do too. And that you receive every second chance waiting for you. Maybe next year there'll be no mad dash to finish before the clock strikes twelve. Which reminds me I got a closet to finish... Happy New Year! See you in 2013 and no matter what you do be FEARLESS! Much love - Paula
