I will be having my first Infusion treatment for Behcets Syndrome and Lupus tomorrow. One of my dear friends has started a pray for Chris prayer chain event that she is inviting everyone to take part in. No, you dont have to go anywhere, send anything, or any other thing of that nature. All your asked to do is commit to pray. Could be a small 10 second prayer, that part doesn't matter. My 1st treatment will take place at 10:30 am tomorrow at Baylor Hospital, and then again in 3 weeks, 6 weeks, and then every 6 weeks for the rest of my life. The goal is to get these two nasty genetic diseases into remission. While I prayed earnestly to finally get a diagnosis, I never imagined it would be an unknown Genetic disease called Behcets Syndrome and Lupus. The picture says "cure lupus". The reason it says nothing about Behcets is because believe it or not, Behcets, is an Asian Genetic disease and is extremely rare in the USA. How a white Irishmen from East Texas got it is anyone's guess. Neither of these are acquired or contagious. They are both genetic diseases that I inherited from my parents. So to recap, the Invite is only a request to pray. These treatments are dangerous, toxic, and in extreme cases could be fatal. You will likely get an invitation a few days before each treatment. Im asking you as my friends and family to please consider this. Im very worried about it, most especially the first one, but I absolutely believe in the power of prayer and could very much use yours at this moment in time. Thank you in advance! Chris

Just wanted to give a quick update on whats been going on in my life lately... I woke up really early this morning as Ive been doing for the past several days. I'm finding that since my blood pressure is under control I'm getting more and more energy each day. Ive still got a couple hurdles to jump yet, but I couldn't be happier with my progress so far. Now if my body would only catch up to this renewed energy I'd be doing very good. For now I'm content taking baby steps in the right direction. God is good and faithful! I'm living proof of that! Thank you all so very much for your prayers and words of encouragement along the way. I am truly blessed and in awe at how amazing each of you have been. Happy Saturday morning everyone and have a wonderful day. Dont forget to smile, who knows that smile could very well make somebody' day! ~ Chris

I just feel like if more of us would stand up for what we believe in and what we know in our hearts to be right, then the world and especially our country would be a much better place to live not only for us but for our children and grandchildren as well. I know and believe with every thing that is within me that Im not the only one who feels this way. Every day we watch the news and say "oh my, this world has gone crazy".... The reason for this is because, WE who were once the vocal Majority have made a conscious decision to become the silent Majority. Yet one thing still remains the same. WE ARE STILL THE MAJORITY and even if we were greatly outnumbered; with God on our side we are the overwhelming majority, bar none. I believe its time for men and women of God to stand up for what we believe in, and to unite as one body in Christ. If we could put aside our petty doctrinal differences and focus on Jesus and the price he paid for our sins so that we can have eternal life, and then unite together; I believe that message alone would sweep across the country like wildfire. God himself promised that his word would not return unto him void, but its up to us to get it out there. Sure we may have our differences, every family does, but we are body of Christ and because we are believers we are part of the same family. Just because I may be a toe and you may be a hand that doesn't mean we are not both vital parts of the same body, and folks its time we start acting like it. After all, if we cant get along down here over petty things, how can we ever expect to be united as the bride of Christ? At the very least I hope I have given you something to think about. You know it only takes ONE SPARK to get a fire going. Only one! Only one single, solitary spark can ignite a forest fire. That spark could be you, our it could be me, or any other believer. For centuries men and women have given their lives for the cause of Christ. Tyrants have tried to wash the word of God from the earth with the very blood of those that believe in him. They gave their lives willingly to ensure that the cause of Christ would go on, yet we who live in a religious free society wont even tell our relatives or neighbors for fear of rejection, ridicule, or simply because its inconvenient. Please do me a favor and think about it. I believe that we could be on the brink of the greatest revival this world has ever seen, but that revival must first start in our own hearts before it can spread to others. I believe that God put this on my heart for a reason. I have posted many things on Facebook but never once have I posted anything like this... Im just writing what I feel God is laying on my heart.
