I realized that the other night when I went on to blog some more, I actually forgot to include the people who helped me out. So I want to let take some time to thank Mike Nicholson with Disappoint Recording Services for putting up with me and my wierd music as long as he has, my major collaborator/friend of fives years/lead guitarist Billy Switzer (that's his classical guitar playing on Artificial Allies), Brannon Bollinger for alto saxophone (that's him on Artificial Allies), Jeremy Boomhower for bass (he plays on Mines On Ceres and some other songs to be heard in the near future). Brannon and Jeremy played in the band T. Rox and the Skankasaur, I saw their last performance about a week and a half ago, now Jeremy is back with Mike Nicholson in Stratocruiser.
Also I really want to thank Mary Marks for keyboards on Alto Cumulus, Conical Structure, Tar Heel Brook Melody and some other tunes that will be coming out soon. I've known her for a really long time (her son was in Boy Scouts with me), and she plays piano at my church. Theous Jones brought some good drumming to the mix, and really gave me everything I asked for and then some. You can hear him on Mines On Ceres. Also, a big shout out to Mr. Baron Tymas, who played bass on Artificial Allies and both versions of Alto Cumulus. He was my guitar instructor, friends, and mentor all five years that I was at North Carolina Central University, and it has been a huge honor to have him on the album. You check his solo jazz albums that he put out, also, he did the music for Bill Moyers's program.

Well, I'm doing everything I can, but for a project as daring, challenging, complex, and elaborate as Magna Carta, things won't be ready until after the first of the new year. I was honored to read that since my profile was first established, I have climbed almost 7000 slots in equity among hip hop artists here on ReverbNation. As of now, I am only 10 points or so behind Paul Wall, let's see if we can do better. So if you are a fan, please sign up and boost my status.
Back to business:
Magna Carta will easily be one of the most original rap albums ever mastered, and I swear fight, you will not regret buying it. Whether with the hipnotic guitar loop of "Conical Structure," the driving guitars, haunting keyboards, and catchy hemiolas of "Gangsta Revisited," or the overall anti-war, pro-community, pro-environment politics, this will be something to truly create waves. Stay posted, and my songs will be available for download soon, and the album itself will be available not much longer than that.
-Thank You, and Remember:

Well, my would-be keyboardist couldn't find the time to learn the keyboard part to "Gangsta Revisited", so I'll be playing that part myself on the album at least. Theous should be coming back to the studio to lay down the drums for that same song, though, and I've been talking to Mike about using an extra-large floor tom to give it a nice booming sound. When I get a chance to go to the bank I'll get my PayPal account set up so that I can finally let you download "Artificial Allies" and "Mines On Ceres". I'll also try to upload some more cool photos. If I had been told last year that my album would have taken this long to make I would not have believed you. But here I am trying to get it done, now that it's almost 2009.
