I've set up a small home studio to record a lot of new music. I could use some help in setting up all of the software properly. So far no luck on my own after a month of trying to figure it out. My system and software operates well except for recording. It does not "hear" the sound coming from the mixer. I know that it's my lack of experience, but I'm not so much a beginner, but yet I am on the recording side of things, and haven't been able to make it work. If you know of someone that may be able to help, I'd greatly appreciate it. Respond to my blog and I can explain more.

I would love to know from people what music does for them on a personal level. Some people "Feel" music, others are simply relaxed by listening to music, and many others have no affect at all from hearing music. What role does music play in your daily life?
Personally, Music for me controls my moods. A very upbeat song can make me feel happy immediately, while a crying in my beer country song can put me in the dumps even faster. A very powerful Ballad will lift me up and sometimes even give me goosebumps at times. I feel music heavily, so it is always a great part of my daily life. How does music affect YOU?

Any Studio Engineers Out Here?

Check to see if drivers are listed and see if your using sound card or interface card
Thanks Michael, I will check into that. I thought it was just a sound card but i can't be sure. I don't know yet what the interface card would be but I'll find out and check into it. Every time I open the program, I check that the sound card settings are correct, and sometimes I have to adjust them. I've tried every imaginable combination and no luck so far. It's a USB connection between the mixer and the computer which I've never used before. I'm used to the hard connections between all the tracks. Thanks for your take and I will look into it. It's the ONLY reason I'm not recording yet...LOL
Added a new sound card. The M-Audio Delta 1010LT. Finally got the software hearing what I'm putting into it. Now it's a tweakers paradise..LOL. Thanks for your thoughts Michael. I appreciate it a lot.
Will soon be working with a certified sound engineer. I can't wait to get all of this up and running. Most is working great, but needs some tweaks and small additions. Will be recording soon.

I feel Happiness and Sad somtimes when i listen the musics, i feel in so much to thinkinfg about the past, the present and the future of my life, It is wonderful musics.
So the music reminds me a lot of things in my life that have happened over the years.Somtimes they are good things, and sometimes not....And i love the more softer and smooting music, instead of the loud strong music.
I live in Thailand so when i hear Thai traditional music,it makes me to feel a strong connection to my Thai heritage.
