"On May 20th, I was in Hollywood to tape an upcoming episode of LA Ink. The tattoo is a Phoenix, as in a mythical bird of fire. My tattoo artist was the extremely cool and talented Dan Smith. The tattoo is a custom design by Mitch O'Connell, famed lowbrow and tattoo flash artist. It was a great experience to meet and talk with a talent like Dan. The producers and staff were all very cool professionals. And it was an extra thrill to collaborate with Mitch O'Connell. A second version of the design featuring a logo for the Love Hope Strength Foundation will be available as a t-shirt when the show airs, with proceeds benefiting the Love Hope Strength Foundation.
