Hi everyone,
As you know, my music is in the genre of horrorcore rap. This means that my lyrics and the beats of my music heavily revolve around horror themes.
In light of the tragedy that happened at the 'Dark Knight Rises' screening in Aurora, Colorado earlier today, I feel I need to address where the line is in terms of my art in relation to events such as the atrocity that occurred today.
MC Cryptid is a gimmick; he is a character that I have created through which my aim is to entertain a demographic of people that are fans of the horror genre, in whatever form this may be. In my lyrics, as MC Cryptid, I frequently kill people - this is all purely works of fiction, its all a fantasy, and the people killed within my music are the kind of people that do things in real life that are absolutely unforgivable; murderers, rapists, pedophiles, bullies, and other evils of that ilk. I have never and will never write or perform a song killing someone that is an "innocent".
I have removed one of my songs this evening, 'Zombie Apocalypse', from my playlist. While it was popular with my fans, I feel it an inappropriate song to have on my Reverb Nation account at the present time due to the horrific events earlier today.
I don't believe in censoring myself, but I have posted a new song today called 'Dark Knight Over Colorado' that I hope to make available soon as a paid download, with every penny made from the sales going to support the families and victims of those in Aurora, Colorado. I do not wish to have this heart-felt song alongside another track that contains lyrics referring to violence similar in nature to the shootings that happened at the Batman screening.
I thank you, my friends and fans, for your support and when 'Dark Knight Over Colorado' is available for paid download, I urge you to support it buy making a purchase of the MP3 - your money will help a great deal to those left behind and who will continue to suffer from today's tragedy.
Thank you for reading, stay wicked

My music VS real life

Posted a new song - 'Zombie Apocalypse'
Posted a new track called 'Zombie Apocalypse', fresh out the oven! This song is inspired by my good friend Mark Kelly who is obsessed with all things zombie, so I guess you could say its dedicated to him. I found this beat on YouTube by Beth Sline, you can check out more of her dope music here; http://www.youtube.com/user/BeatsByBeth - show her some love and support her art by subscribing to her channel!
This track is the 2nd of the "Forgotten Relic" tracks. These are songs with beats from people who allow use of their music under a not-for-profit deal, and these songs are exclusive to Reverb Nation. In time, they may end up compiled into a mixtape, but these will never be sold and will be free to download.
Work continues on my debut album, 'Cryptozoology'. It's taking shape now, we're about half-way there. I'll be concentrating on getting the collaboration tracks done soon, so keep your eyes and legs open for news on that!
So what do you think of the new track? Hit me up and let me know!
Stay wicked,

Posted a new song - 'One Blink'
Posted a new track called 'One Blink', the song is adapted from the words in an email I received from a girl after I broke up with her. I hope if she ever hears it that despite everything that has happened, she'll know that I listened to her and feel bad about it.
It's a short track, under 1:10 long in fact, but I wanted to keep it short and intense to match the emotion I was trying put into the lyrics.
Let me know what you think of the song!
Stay wicked,

Now I have internet at my new apartment, I can finally get around to uploading some new tracks!!
The first one will appear on Monday 16th July, and is called 'One Blink'. It's a short track, just 1 minute 9 seconds long, but sums up some shit I've been thru over the last few weeks.
Another track, 'Trick or Treat (Happy Halloween)' will be done before the weekend and this will pop up online Wednesday 18th July, and plans are underway to have a music video made for the track already that will premiere later this year in October - just in time for Halloween!
Finally, on Friday 20th, 'Take The Night Off' will drop. It tells the story of MC Cryptid taking a break from his serial killing and hitting up a nightclub - of course, its not long before all hell breaks loose and the bodycount starts to rise!
Look out for these new tracks, a new video blog, and some special announcements over the next couple of weeks!
Until then, keep it wicked!!
