Yep, I said it!! Facebook should get rid of that relationship button ish. Why? Okay, i saw an attractive woman pine about being in a relationship, get in a relationship with all the fanfare, and then wham, the relationship was over. And guess what? All of us had to watch that ish. Why? Because Facebook gave her the ability to post that she was in a relationship, but if that function wasn't there, we wouldn't have known. Exactly.

It is expensive to be a self published author. You pay for everything. Now don't get me wrong; it is a great accomplishment to have three books in and a fourth upcoming. Yes it is. But besides those expenses in publishing and promoting your book, there are plenty of others.
I went to several -places this year both to perform and promote the Book of the Year The Mind of a Poetic Unsub. Bear in mind, that is transportation and lodging.Not to mention, there is the costs of participating in event and how it comes in many layers, which includes table,pass,etc. The Harlem Book Fair comes to mind. It is about $400 for a table. An I'm from Chicago,so once again, that two headed monster of transportation and lodging rears its heads. Ask aloud,"What are you getting for $400?" And that is the extreme, but you get my point. Yet, this is "one" of those places you as an author are "supposed" to attend. And there is no guarantee that you will sell the amount of books necessary to break even.

Yep, I said it!! Facebook should get rid of that relationship button ish. Why?
