CBM Records Signs Lorenzo of Tampa and My Rebel Episode of Atlanta
CBM Records has signed two new bands to their growing and talented roster, with some interesting twists.
November 4, 2014 (FPRC) -- CBM Records have made some interesting moves lately, first with their offering bands on their label membership in the label as well as building their own booking and management teams inside of it. Today they announce two very interesting new bands they have added to the roster.
One, My Rebel Episode, (https://www.facebook.com/pages/My-Rebel-Episode/204989192854565), have been brought onto the label under development, preparing for a release. The label owner, Kimberly James, says that she signed the band after meeting with them and hearing their new music as well as other songs that drew the attention of her and their A&R Blackie Starks. They have been secretly sending the older songs over to Mike Froedge of Open Sky Studio to rework, and Kimberly says they sound incredible. Kimberly says "Sometimes as a label, you see the potential in a song or songs, and what is there right under the band’s noses that they may have never noticed, or have become old to them and when you hear them you think to yourself "Oh wow, they have something incredible there"."
The other band is an incredible rock band out of Tampa, Lorenzo (https://www.facebook.com/lorenzolounge), who just came off tour with Tantric. The band reached out for management, and sent Kimberly and Blackie over an entire country album they just recorded, that blew their minds. They have spent the last few weeks preparing to announce this act. Kimberly James will be manager of Lorenzo, and they will also be developing the country act for the label.
CBM Records is a label in Georgia, that defines itself by their friends at Capricorn, being a development label with a whole new twist on labels while still keeping the old school family atmosphere that there used to be. They are currently in the middle of two SEC workings that will potentially change the way a label works.
