07-14-14-My Morning Thoughts: “Vacations”
I only wish vacations were every year! Ours always have too many years in between. It’s always nice to get away and catch up with the daily actions of the ones you love…OBX was a blast and even with my back going out on the 5th day it still didn’t matter cause I made the best of it!...here’s wishing you all great vacations and spending time with your love ones!...why do vacations go so fast!...plain and simple.

I wonder what the average amount of steps we take in a lifetime are?…I wonder how many miles we travel?…I wonder how many people we talk to for the first time?…I wonder how many songs we listen to since the first song?…I wonder how many times I’m going to say I wonder today…ya sometimes I just wonder about things…do you ever wonder?...but there is one thing I don’t have to wonder about at all and that’s the friends and family that are in my life!...THANK YOU…plain and simple.

Well thank you all so much for the Birthday wishes although it was not my intent to float my own boat yet rather describe the essence of real time moving more like warp time…were always told of how fast time goes though I’m not sure I believed it until the decades started moving past me as if they were years!...anyway, I’m just drinking coffee out loud this great beautiful Tuesday morning and counting the blessings…many, many thanks…plain and simple.

06-30-14-My Morning Thoughts: “midnight”
At the stroke of midnight I will be adding another number to my age! It blows my mind that it’s B-day 54…but not cause of the number…more in relation to what has passed so quickly…I mean in the beginning I couldn’t wait to be older, do things that older kids did, hang out, drive cars, stand up to Mom and Dad…and then of course run like hell…LOL! Now, at this age, I would love to have any five minutes of it back to enjoy those fantastic firsts again and to rectify a few of those defiant moments! I don’t think I was a really bad kid although had I got caught with “all” the dumb things I did instead of getting away with so many some might say differently I’m sure. Ya looking back, all-in-all I would say I had one lucky, fortunate-to-be-loved-childhood that loves and appreciates his mother and father a great deal each and every day. Thanks Mom and Dad because without your guidance it’s highly unlikely that me, being 54 today might not have been on the agenda…and I am so proud that I can tell the world that my son Bob is engaged to his true love Christina!!!!!...all the best to you both!!!!!!...love you!!!!!...plain and simple.

Anybody know a good way to shed about 20 pounds and get into shape in less than 2 weeks’ time?...of course I would take losing 10 pounds and half-a-in-shape at this point!...enjoy the weekend all and your time together…plain and simple.
PS: and I’m playing at the Eagles club tomorrow on E. 185th at 8PM for a benefit for my friend Duane Evans who recently passed…he was a good man…

Some spend so much time waiting for special things to happen or dreams to suddenly appear that I think at time times we lose track of the special things happening right now whether their appearing in our dreams or not…don’t miss out, make it happen while enjoying the ride along the way cause none of us every know when the ride may stop!…plain and simple.

At some point in life there’s always someone or something that does something or says something that just makes you say…WHAT THE ^^#(*(*))&Vidxf f85s(**^%^%$#*^!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...I hope we keep these to a minimum though cause life moves so much smoother when we get along…plain and simple.

I wonder what would happen if every politician in the entire world would just have to tell the truth for about one week? I can only imagine what the ratings would be like on the news…ALL NEWS STATIONS…have a great Friday all and just think of how important honesty truly is…the best policy…plain and simple.

I’ve been trying to figure out how to get my quarter-inch real-to-real master tape on a digital format so I can share some of the songs I brought to Nashville 30 years ago…I wish I still had the two-inch real-to-real tape we recorded it on so I could really re-master the whole thing…funny I titled that country album “Down and Out”…how appropriate…LOL…plain and simple.
