A Rainy California Morning!

Dear Friends, I just found this 'blog' space, so thought I'd try writing a bit, and saying hello to whoever is here! Wishing you the best on this rainy day, one of many we've been having in California this month, with many more rainy days to come...I grew up in Merced County, along the Merced River, and many homes are underwater there...and also spent many years living at Camp Lotus, where my sisters family owns the campground, which is along the South Fork of the American River...it usually flows around 1,200 CSF, and got to 44,000 CSF, so flooded the whole lower campground. But my recent songs have been about freedom. Freedom to be who we are and feel good, and safe, being who we are. Safe, protected and valued for being our beautiful selves. The concept that we, as people, maybe evolve as a spiral, which sometimes goes through darkness but then heads toward light...moving upward...learning to take care of each other and the land. So taking care of the land is another theme of my songs. And in my life, working on having less of a footprint...feeling so lucky to be living on such a beautiful Earth!!! So lots of love to you!!!
