David Letterman asked Gaga if she’s making money off her record sales. I would have said: Yes and some of it may even trickle back to me. We have a lot of people on the payroll.
When I ask my manager how much money do I have? He says, how much do you need? No, I says, how much money is in my bank account? He says, how much do you want to be there? No, I says, well, that’s it you see. I’ve, we (rock recording people), have never had a job let alone a bank account with money. Who cares about money, we’re focused on fame not fortune. Were not like your middle class worker that is raising a family and getting a paycheck, or not getting one. When your trying to be big and famous, your single, 25, your not really worried about where your next mansion’s coming from. You just want people to adore you.
