Sinful Outbursts

Not much needs to be said for this song. Basically, I wondered about the workings of life from time-to-time and quickly made this song to express my feelings. It isn't great recording quality as I had time constraints, but I hope you enjoy it!

Writer's Block

Writer's block is something that all artist will experience once. Which is why I jumped at the opportunity to work with Black Wing Duck in his first single. I hope you enjoy it!

Blizzard of Hate

Blizzard of hate will probably be the first song which gets a music video. It would essentially be based off of the song, where a black male in the middle of a snow storm is walking with other people near by. They feel safe until the snow and street light shows the color of the males skin, thus scaring the others.

The song is all about people making assumption about black males, and it's based off of mine and my brother's (who is a dj/producer/mc) experiences.

I hope you enjoy the song!

The Gilded Age and What's to Come

After every release of a song, I will try and write a short blog entry which explains my motive for making such a song. When I think of today’s music I tend to think gilded: something that has a thin layer of gold coating over it. In the song I say: “I see a nice layer gold; now peel off the top. You see the worthless coal, now this is hip-hop”

I see hip-hop exactly like this: it is garbage covered in thin gold. Artists of today display and brag about the money and women they receive. There is also a nice amount of albums/digital media being sold as well. But if you sit there and listen to the lyrics, it is nowhere near the quality of yesteryears. We sometimes get caught up in what is new and proclaim it as the best. This is what motivated me to write a song on my views of today’s hip-hop, which could easily apply to music in general.

What's to Come:

Either writing short stories or lyrics for a potential song, I sincerely enjoy doing it. As I have mentioned previously, I have a nice repertoire of songs that simply need to be recorded. On top of that, because I write daily, that collection increases substantially. The Gilded Age was my first full recording of a song and obviously, I am not very proud of the quality.

Therefore, my plan is to record as many of my songs as I can to practice. You can expect the following songs to be released here soon: Stranded 2, “I Love Hip-hop”, “Memories”, “Forgive Me Lord”, “Crazy Stereotypes”, and “Snow/Cold Hearts”.

Names between parenthesis are subject to having a name change.
