Grind, A Tribute To Alice In Chains. / Blog

Not forgotten?

Our final month on tour is here after reaching thousands of you in Houston, Birmingham, Louisville and Kansas City. Each show had so many special moments, all rapidly becoming very bittersweet. Most notable are certainly the gentleman who excused himself in tears and your roar in Alabama. With respect to other very important events happening for those closest to me, I've layed low and let some time pass. My hope is not to be forgotten and to take a pause from this grind standing proudly with the three amazing young musicians currently committed to this mission, having respected what we've been blessed with to the final curtain at home in Columbia,SC. I couldn't be more thankful for you. So as we catch our breath and ready for a week long run to the west, a return to the great state of Ohio and a final gathering at home, I'm hopeful. It's been such a beautiful thing. The reward of a triumphant end would be just...perfect. - Gary Allen. Coming 7/15: Win my shades. Coming soon: Guitar pick #8. Coming 7/27: What's next. And yet, I fight.

Our second installment finds the band fresh off performances in St.Louis, in Indiana and in the Carolinas, Spartanburg and Asheville. Each had special moments to draw from, including sharing Chuck Berry's green room, miles and miles of red light shows and many new friends joining us on tour. Most importantly, So many family have experienced Grind and for myself I'd have to say nothing is sweeter than sharing music and a mission with them, and all of you. Time seems to be slipping away as we are already preparing for runs west to Texas, south to Louisiana and Alabama and back to Kentucky and on to Kansas City and Ohio, including two major festivals. Moving forward I hope you'll watch for news on what is next for me, Gary Allen and that you continue to enjoy the footage from our humbling final tour in memory of Layne Staley and Mike Starr.

Notes: A very small number of select dates remain available.

Coming Soon: Win my shades.
