The group put on a strong performance at the Grafton Blues Challenge on March 23rd. This event is affiliated with the International Blues Association, and had some highly regarded industry people presiding. The crowd and judges liked what they saw and heard, and Tomcat Joe took home an award!

All the tracks on the debut record have been final mixed and are being mastered by the sound doctor at Fairtone Records.

Just returned from northern California. When I wasn't cruising around Santa Rosa on a 1930's Schwinn, I was recording some new songs. I laid out six song demos in a haircut shop using a WW2 era Martin guitar that has been in my family for 3 generations.

On Wednesday our buddy Gilligan returned to Nesting Goose Studios after his many-hour tour! We recorded tracks using his mighty tenor, as well as his new soprano saxophone. The songs "Burning Heart" and "Pale Grey Eyes" are now closer to completion and sounding better with these gritty sonic pieces!

Freddy & the Cruisers provided classic sounds at two different car show events this Saturday. We saw too many incredible vehicles to recount...drummer Jessica Z even showed up in her own 1959 Morris Minor miniature truck. We started off our rocking day at Apple Automotive's 2nd annual show in Pewaukee and later headed to Lannon, WI and performed for the huge party at Jack Moss Trucking.

Excellent weekend with Freddy & the Cruisers at LCO Casino in Hayward, WI! Both Friday and Saturday nights went well, and the band enjoyed an influx of patrons when the headline concert bands (John Conlee on Fri and Head East on Sat) finished their shows outside. Saturday night was a real treat, with the members of Head East sharing the stage with us and jamming out some fun tunes..Thanks for the memories, guys!

Good and fun times Thursday with everyone who spent the evening with TomKatz at Rocco's. And TomKatz thanks you!
We had so much fun that we decided to do it again Friday night, this time at the 1855 Saloon in Cottage Grove, WI. Families and groups of all ages were entertained by the electric duo at this fine establishment. Look out for TomKatz to stray into a venue near you!

Downtown Waukesha, WI saw crowds gather on Main Street for Freeman Friday. Freddy & the Cruisers setup outside Magellans on Main and entertained folks with their upbeat retro rock & roll. The crowd was bigger than anticipated, and the band found themselves rocking out to an audience that ended up being on all sides of the improvised stage area. It was such a blast that the band just had to continue the rockin festivities inside Magellans afterwards!

Amazing turnout at Waterford River Rhythms on Aug 4t. The weather was perfect, and much of the seating area was claimed hours before the show started. Jackie Brown & the Boys put on one their best shows ever. Thank you bandmates, and also to Al Sikora for organizing this fine event!
