Gandhi by 1001 Ways

The latest historical release: 1001Ways’ "Gandhi" featuring the original voice of Mahatma Gandhi (spiritual message 1931) breaks borders in all senses. The band was performing and travelling with some of the legends of the Bauls of Bengal and other folk musicians throughout India and Pakistan. 1001 Ways have also performed for years in clubs, at festivals and in the streets of Europe. The group remains attracted to philosophical topics and is inspired by Gandhi's life of non-violence and multicultural understanding. Since its early days 1001 Ways has carried a special Calabash as a symbol of reducing global hunger and supporting peace the world over. Performed at Int. Festivals like: World Performing Arts Festival 2003 / 2004 (The largest Int. Arts Festival in Asia) In its "Small Peace World Tour 2004" (New York - Lahore/Pakistan), 1001 Ways offered a Calabash to the UN at the "No Excuse Concert" in New York, signifying their support of the Millennium Development Goals fighting hunger and poverty. 1001 Ways have been working together with: Farafina (Real World), Omega III New York (producers for Madonna, Celine Dion, Jennifer Lopez, a.o.) Akim Barika / France (producer for Missy Elliot, a.o.) Fathy Salama (producer of "Egypt" / Youssou N’Dour) Armand Volker (producer of Enigma) Tony Scott and many others...
