Rick and I can't express enough how much fun Saturday was at Corner Pub. The place was packed and we had a ton of fun performing! What a great crowd! We are going to be going into the studio Sunday to record some new original songs and can't wait to share them with you. We also have two more shows coming up in June, so check us out! We'd love to see you and as always, say hi!
The past two weeks have been somewhat of a whirlwind. While we have added two new members to the band, we have been out promoting, trying to get booked, and working on our press kits further. This weekend we spent all of our time hanging fliers and trying to finish our epk cds. Wow, was it hot out there! And fyi: Kinko's is really busy on Sunday nights. Although, we did stop for some fun at The Party Source. And while we didn't exactly buy alcohol, there are photos of us trying on some fun things :) Check it out on our Facebook page. We've still got more work to do and we are preparing for this Saturday's gig. We couldn't be more excited though, and we hope to see a lot of faces this weekend!
I woke up this morning to a rejection email for midpoint music festival. An hour later, we got another email saying we've been changed to "Interested." Talk about a complete fluke. MPMF is now considering booking us. We find out June 1st. Wish us luck.
Rick and I would like to announce that we have added two new members to our band. Chris Sarvak on bass and Jake Bartone on drums. Chris is known for being in bands such as "A Continuous Now" and "Patient Zero". Rick and Chris met at a high school band challenge in the mid nineties. They have wanted to work musically together for some time. Jake is currently leading the band "Atlantis Becoming". Rick and Jake grew up together. They were also in a band during their high school years. We are very excited to work with Chris and Jake and see where this takes Soothing Stone in the future.
Talk to you soon! Tara
We are bouncing back after both of us being sick these past couple of weeks. We've been practicing a lot. After the last show, we've added some new songs to our set list and are very excited to perform them. We are working towards getting Soothing Stone merchandise going and can't wait to share that with our fans. We are also looking at out of town performances, so expanding our audience is definitely something we're looking forward to.
Until next time! Tara
