Jose Angel Chairez Jr., nace un 7 de octubre del año 1979 en San Jose de Reyes, municipio de Simon Bolivar, Durango, Mexico. Hijo de padres campesinos, Jose Angel Chairez Casas y Patricia Esquivel Cervantes, el ultimo de cuatro hermanos, nace con una discapicidad fisica pero con un gran don el cual compensaria su deficiencia. Invidente de nacimiento y desde muy pequeño, el niño mostraba inclinacion por la musica. Inclusive su madre platica que antes que poder hablar, balbuseaba estrofas de cansiones. Dos años mas tarde, con caserolas y otros utensilios de la cocina, Jose Angel jugaba a ser un cantante famaso. A la edad de cinco años, canto por primera ves ya acompañado por un conjunto, en la boda de unos amigos de la familia. Otro niño en su lugar, se hubiese asustado al estar ante tanta gente, pero el en cambio, hizo su interpretacion de principio a fin como todo un professional. A los siete años de edad, su padre, con sacrificios le regala su primera guitarra. Contento con su primer instrumento musical real, el pequeño quiso tomar clases con un musico local. Dicha persona se rehuso a enseñarlo alegando que debido a la discapacidad del niño era imposible que el aprendiera alguna postura en la guitarra. Este comentario, lejos de desalentar a Jose Angel, le brindo mas fuerza para perseguir su sueño de ser un gran musico.
