Biography:

Tuks Senganga can talk. Give him a centimeter of leeway and he’ll chew your ear off about life, love and everything else. Tuks Senganga was born Tumelo Kepadisa on 2 May 1981 in Mafikeng in the former homeland of Bophuthatswana. He started writing in 1993, drawing inspiration from everyday issues in his immediate environment.
This rising star's career took off in 2005 with his debut album Mafoko a me This was the album that earned Tuks the South African Music Award (SAMA) for Best Hip Hop Album in 2005.
But getting to where he is now was no stroll through the low veld for this hip-hopper. For the second album, MC Prayer, Tuks teamed up once again with producer Thabiso 'Thaso' Tsotetsi. But this time the beats are more progressive, and the styles more varied than those of Mafoko a me. But MC Prayer isn't all about heavy hearted social awareness. There are some fun tracks on there too that gently hint at a lighter and brighter side of Tuks Senganga. Other awesome tracks to look out for are Ticket to Jozi, Remember where, and the title track, MC Prayer.
Above all Tuks is thankful, and MC Prayer is his way of saying so. And an album with such positive intentions can only reap positive rewards. Even if you finish a project in a year, the whole process takes much longer,” he says.
All this and not a hint of a swollen head. Winning the SAMA is not even the highlight of his career thus far.
