Daniel Fierro known professionally as "MEX" is a 24 year old, self professed Jesus Freak who recently graduated from Madison Media Institute with an Associates degree in recording and music technology. The talented MEX grew up with a dream of performing music for people everywhere.
Music started at a young age for MEX when he began writing poems and taking a look at the world to try to capture the moment on paper. In middle school, he formed a boy band called, "Step 3," along with his brother. For a couple of years they enjoyed singing at birthday parties and recording a short demo.
Years later after giving himself to God, MEX started incorporating his technique for writing poems into Hip Hop. God gave him a vision to share his testimony and the Word of God to the younger generations everywhere.
“Daniel , a 2003 alumnus of Rawhide, returned for his third visit to Rawhide this year on September 17. This marked a special occasion for him because he graduated from Madison Media Institute the following week. Daniel, who goes by the stage name “Mex,” was also signed to a music label this past summer and will be releasing his first professional album: “Mad City-Holy Ghost Ready” in October.
