Biography:

Crackalac, hip hop group representing the Bloomington, Indiana area consisting of four MC’s with a similar strive to be the best at what they do. Their hunger and creative ambition has driven them to reach for new heights in the music industry. They explained that their music is, “[S]something new to the ear and many people are taking an instant liking to it,” (Crackalac, 2007). Their sound could be compared to an east coast/southern mixture of hip hop, with a certain degree of Indiana swagger.
The individual four MC’s that make up the group are Kandykid (Jacob Wayne), DC (Desmond Carpenter), Hi-C (Colton Lantz) and Cadillac Slim (Gary Borer). All four have a different story and background that drives them as individuals to succeed. However, when the four come together their presence can be felt. With each group member coming from a lower class background, their goals are all focused around moving up and making the best of their situations. Hi-C stated that, “A rough start can only mean a better finish in the long run,” (Colton Lantz, 2007).
