“NOX Guni goes on his first UK tour this weekend. To cap a successful year in which he shared the stage with Alick Macheso and Oliver Mtukudzi, the Ndinoshuwa star is looking to spread his love gospel to overseas audiences. The South Africa-based singer, who has recorded more love songs than any living Zimbabwean, will stage gigs in Coventry and London on September 30 and October 1 respectively. With four albums under his belt, and three more queued up for release, Nox’s talent has been bubbling up in the underground scene for several years. Now he is ready to take his music a note up.“We need to take our music to continental and international levels. The style, quality and art must be purely Zimbabwean,” Nox said on Saturday, days before he flies to London for his maiden tour.”

“TALENTED urban grooves musician Nox has scored a first by featuring on a Sony Music Entertainment and Trans African Media compilation album titled African All Stars Volume One.Born Enock Guni, the South African-based musician is the only Zimbabwean featuring on the album that comprises artists from across the continent.Popular Nigerian duo, P Squared of the Busy Body fame, 2face who did African Queen, the group Jozi and Kamillion are the major contributors to the compilation..His song on the album was done in Shona and English to give it an international feel."The song is called Wandinoda/The One I Love. It is a combination of Shona and English and it maintains that urban grooves beat that I love so much," said Nox."Sony Africa and Trans African Media are coordinating production of the album and they have managed to negotiate for airtime at stadiums where some World Cup matches would be played.”

“retoria — HUNDREDS of Zimbabweans got together at Chez Ntemba in Pretoria on Friday night, fulfilling a promise by Enoch "Nox" Guni that his album launch will be the hottest Zimbabweans' get together in the South African capital. The all-Zimbabwean crowd got a dose of the versatile Urban Groover's fifth album dubbed Zim's Finest: Tisu Tine Yese after enjoying live performances of songs from previous albums that got everyone nostalgic of home. The show kicked off at around 11 pm as the organisers where trying to ensure that people got a chance to enter the prestigious venue meant for foreigners. The crowd was female-dominated on a scale of about four females for one male proving that Nox has managed to keep hold of the ladies through his sensual lyrics."Oh I am in Heaven," screamed Athila Deka; a female reveller as soon as Nox got on stage.”
Carte Chapwanya - The Herald

“THERE is never a dull moment so it seems for Enock “Nox” Guni whose prospects for success seem to be firing from all cylinders. After enduring Zimbabwe’s tumultuous socio-political environment the Kuwadzana bred crooner packed up his bags and relocated to Mzansi in 2008, where from the looks of things he struck gold.“After going to South Africa I managed to build a more comfortable life for myself, managed to buy myself a nice car, and I now stay in a townhouse in Midrand,” he said.Unfortunately, as with most musicians, his relative success is not the result of his musical pursuits but of his day job. He is as a business development executive for a training and recruitment company, but there is no prize for guessing where his passion lies.”
