Biography:

Sadako Pointer will not be overlooked. As a professional singer and dancer, Sadako has been strutting her stuff on stage for more than 10 of her 27 years on this earth. So good was her stage presence that the inimitable Pointer Sisters asked her to join their ranks when they needed a new group member a little over 3 years ago. Being the granddaughter of Ruth Pointer, one of the original members of the Pointer Sisters, did not hurt matters either.
Sadako’s talent and ambition have provided many opportunities for her. Having grown up a bi-coastal child, living in both California and New York, Sadako has long been accustomed to long plane rides and drastic changes in time zones. This has proved to be useful to her as she has traveled all over the US and to numerous countries to ply her trade. So far, Sadako has hit the stage in Canada, Thailand, France, New Zealand, Australia, Austria, Russia, Spain, and Singapore. She has also been fortunate enough to perform on the stage of The Greek Theater, The Roxy Theater, at the Save the World Awards, and at the 1st Annual World Fitness Day.
Sadako has accomplished a great deal for someone so young. She has shared the stage with some true greats of the music industry. Besides her famous family members, the Pointer Sisters with whom she currently performs, Sadako has sung and danced with Jermaine Jackson, Jane Fonda, Ludacris, The Temptations, Mark Ronson, The Bee Gees, The 4 Tops, Wendi Williams, and the Reverend Al Green. Sadako has even shared the stage with two of her idols: Sister Sledge and the incomparable Chaka Khan!
As a Pointer Sister, Sadako demonstrates a rare ability to balance old school style with a young person’s flare. She holds her own vocally, completing the in-tact harmonies with her Grandmother and Great Aunt, while unleashing her own energetic dance moves while wearing short dresses and high heels. Sadako already has the stage presence required of the star she is becoming.
