Samantha was born and raised in Miami Beach, Florida and now lives in Nashville, TN. Sam’s father, legendary Maurice Gibb of the Bee Gees, vastly influenced her life and her music. She has said, “Growing up watching my father and my uncles really set the bar for what kind of musician and songwriter I wanted to be”.
In 2004, after her father passed away, Sam partnered with Lazaro Rodriguez, creating M.E.G. Records/M.E.G. Productions (M.E.G. being the acronym for her father’s initials, Maurice Ernest Gibb). Samantha and Lazaro write and record for herself and other artists,
releasing new music every year. They have a unique and versatile musical sound that blends perfectly with Samantha's sultry vocals.
“Nashville-based artist SAMANTHA GIBB is a phenomenal talent. Her latest single ‘Sorry, Not Sorry’ is a relatable song with addictive lyrics, memorable melodies and stunning vocal performances. So make sure you add ‘Sorry, Not Sorry’ to your new music playlist this week!”
FVmusicblog
“Samantha’s latest single, ‘Good Lovin”, is almost the perfect pop song; with an irresistible melody and stunning vocals, it’s catchy as all heck and you’ll be singing it long after the final notes have played.”
Lisa Hafey - Essentially Pop
“We appreciate the poetic prowess and dynamic vocals that Samantha Gibb shares with Sorry Not Sorry, as well as her authenticity and vulnerability as a songwriter.”
KIMU
“The single is a simple melody that just resonates through your mind like an echo as it’s written, produced, and mastered to perfection. Falling somewhere in the gray zone of pop music, the thought-provocative lyrics take you on a self-reflective trip through the process of having to let go in order to make room for growth”
EDM Rekords
"With regards to the EP, it definitely crafts high expectations for the album, featuring songs like My Spell which is both tantalizing and mysterious, Take It Easy with a heavier feel often stepping into rock territory and I'll Stay showcasing a familiar Americana sound."
Laura Bethall - Maverick Magazine-UK
"Samantha Gibb steps out of the shadows of her father Maurice to produce four tracks of Americana-tinged pop that conjures up hot, late nights with tequila. If the album doesn't get you humming, you need your pulse checking."
The Panel - Music Week-UK
"My Spell meanders and mopes witchily, and Gibb has a sultriness that is completely moreish."
