Jerry Arhelger-Singer Songwriter

When the statement is made “You may find him anywhere”, it definitely applies to Jerry Arhelger. In over 35 years as a professional Entertainer, Songwriter and Seminar Teacher, Jerry has performed in almost every conceivable arena.
In the early days, Jerry performed solo and with bands at proms, homecomings, night clubs and community center dances throughout the south.

It wasn’t long before Arhelger was performing and the master of ceremonies at beauty pageants, political rallies, concert halls and festivals.
Right into the 2000’s Jerry Arhelger has entertained and performed Internationally at major festivals and events such as Wembley(England), Peterborough, Morecambe, Maidstone, Portsmouth, Greenbelt, 850 year celebration of Cork, Ireland, Greater London Festivals at Jubilee Gardens and Lesney’s Abbey, Debron Holland, Prestatyn, Wales, Pontins Festivals, Isle of Wight Festivals, Gilleys, Grand Ole Opry, etc.

His songs have aired world wide on British Arm Forces Radio, American Armed Forces Radio, XM Satellite Radio, WSM, WWL, as well as Luxembourg’s 3 million watt station, the largest in the world.
The responses of Jerry’s performances have often ended with encores and ovations.

After Jerry’s performance at the famous “Gilley’s” in Pasadena, Texas, Virginia Hahn, the weekly editor for entertainment of a Houston newspaper wrote,“It’s time someone discovers Arhelger whose mature and articulate voice captures the earthly qualities and the emotions of country and rock music. As a discriminating country music fan and writer, I don’t jump on just everyone’s bandwagon but I’ve climbed on Arhelger’s. He’s got a future in country music.”

A review of Jerry’s Peterborough Festival performance in Country Music Roundup magazine said,“Arguably the better of the stateside visitors, the comparatively unknown Jerry Arhelger took the audience by storm.”

After Jerry and his band where the headliners at the Texas Proud Award Show held at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN, Texas Proud Magazine wrote,
“Jerry Arhelger and his band are one of the best bands around. They won the heart of the fans and the respect of their peers. Jerry is a master performer.”

After a concert at Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico for the 27th Combat Support Group, the Administrative Officer wrote,

“On behalf of the entire 27th Combat Support Group Headquarters Squadron, allow me to formally thank you again for you and your group’s musical presentation. Many complimentary comments were made to both me and Major Evans, the Squadron Commander. Of particular note were the comments on the professional manner in which your presentation was made. Country Music People magazine wrote after Jerry’s performance at the Wembley Country Music Festival in England,
“Jerry’s superb, bluesy voice sat right on top of the beautiful harmonies behind him and if we were looking for a “musical highlight” then the honor would probably go to this likeable man.”

In Country Music News Terry Keller calls Jerry,
“One of the UK’s favorite Americans and one of Britain’s most loved American Country Artist.”

Jerry Arhelger”s Country Gospel hit “Breaker Breaker Sweet Jesus” was in the top 20 charts in America for 19 weeks. It received over 250 request on one 4 hour program in Mississippi.

It became the most requested song ever in Liverpool, England. Johnny Kennedy at Radio City, Liverpool said,“We were receiving more requests for Jerry’s record than the Band-Aid song when it was Number 1 on the charts.”

Jerry performed with BBC personalities at the All Star Gala held at Queens Way Hall in Dunstable, England for Men-Cap, the national organization for the mentally handicapped in the United Kingdom. Jerry wrote and performed the theme song called, “Born to be special”.

Jerry appears in the book authored by Carolyn Rada Holloran called “Our Brightest Stars of Country Music”.
