Biography:

Billy Slais was born and raised in Memphis, Tenn. He grew musically during the days of STAX/VOLT. His dad is a world class musician. Billy is a saxophonist, songwriter, arranger and keyboardist. He has played with Elvin Bishop, Starship ,did sessions with Tower of Power and a memeber of Cold Blood before moving to Reno. Slais received the Air Force Commendation Medal for entertaining the troops during his tour of Vietnam. He was formerly the Entertainment Coordinator for the Enoteca Wine Cave at the Siena Casino in Reno, NV. He tours with Craig Chaquico and performs as the Billy Slais JAZZ Ensemble at select Northern Nevada venues.
