Biography:

Preston "Bugsy" Wilcox got his first drum set when he was 13. He put together a neighborhood band in LA called "The Intellects". They modeled themselves after The Temptations. In 1970, Bugsy entered "The Sylvers" and got his first big break after an appearance on the Murph Griffin Show when he received a note to appear at an audition the following evening.
When Bugsy arrived at the audition, he found out he was auditioning to play with Marvin Gaye. He was the last drummer up and Marvin said "We'll keep the youngster".
At 17, Bugsy became Marvin Gaye's Drummer and spent 14 years with Marvin. This opened many doors for Bugsy and he has drummed for numerous stars such as Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Rick James, Neil Diamond, Ike Turner, Lionel Richie, Paul McCartney, Patti Labelle, and Etta James.
Now, Bugsy operates as an important member of the Diverse Family while continuing his work with various artists.
