Biography:

AWOL Da Mindwriter is independent Hip-Hop artist from Long Island. Hailing from Long Island, the eccentric Hip-Hop artist had other goals to accomplish other than what he had interests in, which were graphic designing and Video Production.The Acronym for AWOL is "Aggressive Writer Outta Line", the term "Mindwriter" is a compound word describing how he envisions songs, theories, and ideas in his mind, enabling him to blossom his creativity. AWOL has been writing rhymes since the age of 13 under the same moniker. Beyond many afilliates from inspired hip-hop artists, legendary iconsl of music, to graffiti art and video games, AWOL was very eagar to go at every angle to have his voice heard. In the middle of 2005, AWOL had written verses daily, perfecting his writing craft. June 18, 2005 would be the most tragic day of his lifetime. His mother passed away at the age of 39, due to Kidney failure. Going through psychological phases, the hip-hop artist had lost control of his emotions, which immediately switched from being the most energetic person, to suffering from acute depression. During that summer, AWOL attended a jewish camp facility, which allowed him to regain space and solitude after the tragic loss, which helped him build his writing skills..During a 5 month period, AWOL then wrote first song titled "Final Frontier Remix" originally produced by RJD2, It was then when AWOL gained popularity and buzz.. In 2009, he had attended SAE Institute for Audio technology to pursue mixing engineering and recording.

AWOL Da Mindwriter is currently in the works for his mixtape debut "Da *$#@ I just say?!" featuring production from 9th Wonder, Constrobuz, Oddisee, with a great lineup of featured artists. Coming soon 2012
