Owenshire was born when Robert Muhlbock bought a bass guitar in 1992 and began recording dozens of bass and vocal demos on cassette tapes under that name in his hometown of Vienna ON. Two independent albums, numerous "live demos," and (most importantly) one bass distortion pedal later, Muhlbock continues to release riff-based alternative rock, layered with harmonies, and centered around personal/abstract lyrics. He does this in a basement located in London, ON. Then he goes and shoots and edits the video.
Owenshire is Muhlbock’s lifelong one-man band, indie rock project: a notable 10 album discography, borne back ceaselessly into the past, yet updated in real time, a song at a time. So, why not come along for the ride? It's not like you have anything better to do. And after we're done, Rob promises to buy you a cold drink. Or stir up some Tang.
