Kernel Stephens better known as Benz Mr Gwada hails from the nature isle Dominica. he is one of Dominicas most prolific Bouyon Recording artist and Songwriter. Mr Gwada has been one of the biggest solo bouyon act since he first Appeared as one of the headliners at the World Creole Music Festival in 2013 after releasing his first ever bouyon hit song " everybody wan go GWADA". Gwada is the founder of the "Bouyon Nation767" movement and has toured the Caribbean the U.S and Europe In an effort of taking "bouyon to the world". Benz Mr Gwada early in his career featured with the legendary WCK Bouyon Pioneer "Derrick Rah Peters" on his solo album project entitled LONE RAIN JAH which was his first major introduction to the Bouyon genre. He later on released his debut Bouyon album entitled "Bouyon Biznis" After leaving his Homeland Dominica in 2000 To join his father in The french island of Guadeloupe,Benz Mr Gwada started mixing up his lyrics with french creole which eventually became the style which he is popularly identified with today. The instant success of his BOUYON hit song "GWADA" a song which speak of his personal experience in Guadeloupe produced by Djflip eventually led to him being affectionally dubbed "Mr Gwada" by his fans & peers. Mr Gwada followed up with his hit single "COME JOIN ME" on the porpular (DAYDREAM RIDDIM) Produced by Krishna "Dada" Lawrence. The producer of mega Bouyon hit song FAMALAY featuring Machel,bunji and skinny fabulous .
