About the Artist

Nune got his start rapping at the age of 12 when his cousin, Nicho, picked up freestyling as a hobby. Soon the two were making homemade mix tapes rapping over popular beats. In 2005, they released their first project “Ya Llegamos” and followed it up with “Quieres Tickets” in 2006. After those two independently successful projects, Nune took on several solo projects of his own starting with Last Of A Real Breed (2008), The Graduate (2011), and Soon Enough (2012). He quickly gained attention in The Rio Grande Valley as one of the top tier rappers with his ability to mix both English and Spanish effortlessly in his lyrical content. In an attempt to further his popularity and spread his music further, Nune started filming his daily adventures while in the studio and while hanging out with friends in 2009. He called the show “Nunevizion,” a play on Univision, a successful Hispanic television network. He originally started the show to further his music, but it took a turn when people took interest to his drunken nights with friends while hanging out in his hometown nigh clubs. His YouTube show became popular in The Rio Grande Valley, and his music was always a vocal point in the show. With a string of independently successful mix tapes and albums to his name, along with his reality show, Nune now works on expanding further out of The Rio Grande Valley with his new solo project “Shouldn’t Be Local.” “I always reached my goals with the support of friends, family, and the people that enjoy my work. I think it’s time to take it a step above, and try my determination outside of the 956.” Other links for music: www.youtube.com/nune44 www.soundcloud.com/nune44 www.twitter.com/nune44 www.soundcloud.com/nune44 I only speak things I know about and that I have lived through or can relate to.
