About the Artist

Nickels & Dirt are a dynamic two-piece acoustic band that transcends the traditional boundaries of a folk band. With a unique blend of instruments including guitar, ukuleles, and simplified drums, we have meticulously crafted our original sound that resonates with a diverse audience.
Our music is infused with a variety of influences, allowing us to explore and incorporate elements from different genres, which is a testament to our creative freedom and artistic expression. When we say, “These boys aren’t from around here,” it reflects our distinct musical identity and the way we embrace our individuality in a world filled with conventional genres.
We draw inspiration from a wide array of musical styles, ranging from bluegrass and Americana to indie and beyond, which enables us to create a sound that is both fresh and familiar. Each member of the band brings their own unique background and experiences to the table, contributing to a rich tapestry of sound that defies easy categorization. Our performances are characterized by an energetic and engaging presence, as we strive to connect with our audience on a deeper level.
The interplay between the instruments creates a harmonious blend that captivates listeners, while our lyrics often tell stories that resonate with personal experiences and universal themes. This storytelling aspect is crucial to our music, as we believe that songs should evoke emotions and provoke thought. In essence, Nickels & Dirt is not just a band; we are a collective of musicians committed to pushing the boundaries of acoustic music.
Our journey is one of exploration and innovation, and we invite our listeners to join us as we navigate the vast landscape of sound that is uniquely our own.
