Neal Phillips is a Philadelphia-area singer/songwriter whose thought-provoking and humorous songs have been performed by Pete Seeger, Holly & Glenn Yarbrough, and Steve Gillette, among others. Neal’s writing has won national and regional recognition including the USA Songwriting Competition and the Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Contest.
Neal's songs have been heard on The Midnight Special, The Folk Sampler, and other syndicated shows. His work has also been featured on Dr. Demento's Basement Tapes and in Sing Out! Magazine.
Neal has released 11 solo CDs, most recently "Green Golden Days" and "Songs from My Room" (2021). He has also performed and recorded for over 30 years as a member of the folk trio “Trifolkal” (along with Greg Trafidlo and Laura Pole). Their most recent trio albums are "Silver" (2021) and "Virginia Morning" (2023).
