Songwriters MeLinda Dalton and Russ Quinn are the creative team of Nails Hide Metal. With an extensive catalog of songs to their credit and with regular live performances, they continue to explore new musical directions. Rock guitars and drums drive their songs. Compelling lyrics, melodies and harmonies round off their unique sound.
High energy performances are a staple of live shows as they tour throughout the US and Canada.
The two began writing, playing and recording together in 2009. Three self-recorded EPs were released over the next three years. Two more followed after the couple recorded at Portland, Oregon’s Jackpot! Recording Studio. They continually find inspiration for new material.
Nails Hide Metal has completed their sixth recording titled Breach. The album was recorded in Washington at South Sound Sound Recording Studio with Jason Suko. It was mastered by Adam Gonsalves at Telegraph Mastering in Portland, Oregon.

Nails Hide Metal has played the Music at the View Festival in Tonasket, WA and Canadian Music Week in Toronto, Canada. Their self-recorded song “Eastern Breaks” is part of a compilation distributed by the film and television soundtrack company, Arkatone Music Group. Their self-recorded song “Matter” was a GASC finalist.
